Good IT company, more of a body shop

Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThis is US based IT consulting company with lot of Fortune clients. They sponsor visas and green cards. Good salary (depends on the client).

ConsBenches consultants when there is no project. Does not provide training while on bench. You are with your own team when on project, you will hardly be dealing with Keane.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat human resources as they deserve to be treated.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Keane work env/planning/treatment of employees is pathetic

Senior Principal Consultant (Former Employee) Jersey City, NJ

ProsMultiple clients. Offshore /Onshore model gives good exposure to working with large teams and handling complex time sensitive issues.

ConsPoor Compensation. Long Work hours. No empathy/guidance from senior management towards day to day work assignment or long term career assessment. Rampant nepotism.

Advice to Senior ManagementGiven the number of hours employees spent at work at client site, should be better compensated. Should have feedback channel. Higher management should be actively appraised and made sensitive to day to day employees issues and redressal.

    Not a real consultancy

Principal Consultant (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsYou get paid overtime depending on which client you are assigned. There are some bright employees that I'm proud to work with.

Cons1. They will cut your salary shortly after you are employed with them. They make a good salary offer, and then reduce after your other job offers have vanished.
    2. You will get let go after completing an assignment; pipeline is small
    3. Unless you work in India, job prospects or movement are zero to none.
    4. Your boss is virtual; I've never spoken or met my supervisor; communication is via email and usually addressed to a group. When you leave Keane you won't be able to get a recommendation from your boss because he/she don't know you.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo not over promise potential employees with salary, opportunities when there are none.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
