Pros
You work at home. No commute
Cons
Did not give you the apple equipment necessary to properly answer calls (You will be taking technical calls for the Iphone and will not have one in your possession unless you buy it yourself)
You can be fired for one bad customer review -- regardless if it is an Apple problem (there servers are down or it is becasue you were not given the resources to properly answer the call)
And YOU have to pay for your phone line and internet connection... basically making the job pay at or below minimum wage
Advice to Senior Management
There are not benefits, low pay, no job security.... It is a cattle farm. Just get as many people on the phones as Apple will pay for and whoever gets fired gets fired.... they will just recruit more people. Until they are left with a core base of people who are so desperate for a job that they stick around (unless they get fired for a bad CSAT - customer survey)
All Kelly cares about is keeping Apple as a client.
You can be fired at the drop of a hat... AND Kelly services could lose there contract at any time and everyone will be canned.
Horrible, horrible job.
Pros
Great teams, great clients, can put ideas in to action
Cons
Big corporate structure lends itself to taking too long to approve next generation ideas
Advice to Senior Management
Continue to empower your people to create the right type of change within the company
Pros
Very friendly co-workers, I have been here for over 3 years and have never seen poor behavior by anyone.
Cons
It is a very large corporation so it does take some work in getting acknowledged by upper management.
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest a more fun and outgoing work environment
Pros
Able to define my work life balance, able to go after assignments that promote me, not them
Cons
sometimes its a great assignment, which ends - and you want it to last longer!
Advice to Senior Management
Keep it up! Your recruiters are awesome!
Pros
If you really need a job at the moment
Cons
Very poor management, with very little ef back
Advice to Senior Management
Get better fast
Pros
Very big company with many oppurtunities.
Cons
Salary start is very low, compared to other companies
Pros
If you have desire, ability and willingness to learn and grow, there is no place better to gain valuable business and life skills including but not limited to problem solving, creative thinking, accountability, verbal and written communication, time management, and accountability.
Cons
Lean environment.
Improve training for corporate support departments (their actions & activities can lead to substantial re-work for field).
Advice to Senior Management
Work in the field! VPs, Territory Leads, Relationship and Service Managers should get to know the recruiter experience.
Pros
Good pay, good and friendly people to work for.
Cons
Not enough assignments to work on, would love to work more scoring evaluations like it was a few years ago.
Advice to Senior Management
Recruit more assignments
Pros
They work hard to match you with a position you will be happy in.
The staffing supervisors are very personable and really take to heart your career goals and desired positions.
I was always paid much more than people from other staffing agencies with similar responsibilities.
Cons
The downsides of Kelly Services are the downsides of every staffing agency. You may be told that a position will last six months and then be let go in a few weeks (because the company decided they didn't need you). Some positions will be called "temp-to-perm" and then not go permanent.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice, this is a great company. If you are going to work for a temp agency, choose Kelly Services. I worked for them three summers in college and then 2 years after college.
Pros
Kelly Services provides and promotes continuing education and growth, and fosters a culture of enjoyable learning and relevant skill development. This isn't not a corporation of ego's, it's filled with experienced and knowledgeable leaders that nurture, share and innovate. This is a brilliant company.
Cons
Kelly Services is the 5th largest employment agency in the world. We are globally distributed and can garner massive strength from internal communication systems. Thus the challenge as a BDR is the ability to get 'all' of the relevant information, when approaching an opportunity. Kelly has responded to this by investing in systems that have enabled global communication in ways that I never thought were possible. They impress me every day. This week, Kelly Services even launched an app in the app store.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep on doing what you are doing! Kelly is an excellent organization to work for. We are financially sound and innovatively positioned to excel well into the future. The largess of Kelly Services is seldom felt, and the bureaucracy of a $5 Billion business is managed like a well oiled machine. Cheers!
