Pros
I have worked with Kelly on several different occasions. I have gotten an offer from the company I was temping for each time. Great way to get a job especially in this economy.
Cons
You are not an employee of the company you are working for and they can get rid of you much easier. If you are a hard worker tho this isnt an issue
Pros
You can choose your schedule and the jobs you want to take.
Cons
At least at the Baltimore office, the people running the show seem a little flaky and not at all on top of things. They've given me incorrect information on how to submit my hours, no communication on my job performance, and wear rubber flipflops in the office. Also, the pay kinda sucks.
Advice to Senior Management
Create better connections with your employees. Touch base. Make them feel like they have a professional relationship with you, not that they're interchangeable goods.
Pros
great people uses technology well
Cons
expects too much of employees. way too much penny pinching
Advice to Senior Management
do the job that you are asking employees to do for a week or a day.
Pros
The pros of working for this company is that payments are usually on time, except when you first work for the company, you might have to go through some hurdles.
Cons
There are no paid vacations and the company does not pay for jury duty service. Those are the only cons.
Advice to Senior Management
Your employees are your most valuable assets. Treat them well and they will remain loyal to you and do their very best!
Pros
Well established stable company, employee development
Cons
Promotions do not always seem to be given fairly
Pros
In the past, Kelly Services had very good job opportunities, but now they list positions that are out of date.
Cons
I don't actually work for Kelly Services. I am a candidate. My problem with them is, they call you and seem excited about you being a fit for positions. They ask you to come into the office, meet with them and build you up. Once you are registered with them and walk out of the door, you never hear from them EVER!!
Advice to Senior Management
Kelly Services needs to update their jobboard online. They have positions listed dated back five to six months. Either those positions have been filled or haven't. If they haven't been filled, what is wrong with the position or client? If they are filled they need to delete that position from their website site. That represents Kelly Services as being unprofessional and unorganized. I need a job and would love to keep their job website up to date!
Pros
Care about where you want to go with your career within Kelly.
Cons
Low pay for the amount of duties.
Pros
I'm on a government contract and Kelly let's you do your job. They basically just issue my paychecks and don't meddle when working at the client site, with the client.
Cons
Benefits could be better. I wish health insurance benefits were more comprehensive. Other than that, there are no cons really.
Advice to Senior Management
No interaction with senior management at the company, just based on the way my contract is. So I can't say how management is doing.
Pros
got home at a decent hour
Cons
Will not rehire and are prone to put on a no hire list.
Advice to Senior Management
Instead of letting people be put on a no hire list for no apparent reason you should consider options. I new of several people that never showed up for work and got terminated but got rehired. I was gonna be late one day and i was told never come back and put on their no hire list. For a company who is willing to help out people you are not doing a good job in this region. I personally would like to go back to work through this company to be hired full time at the company it is temp servicing for. Black balling people from working is wrong. You want people but u still dont hire them or you no hire list them.
Pros
-Big company, internationally known and respected
Cons
-Part-Time employees do not get paid holidays, or vacations.
