    Pros

Good ethics and expanded company. Company is over 60 years old and was oldfashioned and stodgy for a long time. New managment, new strategic plan, and new culture. Lots of speed now and many opportunities for people with new ideas. Most of the world's biggest companies are customers, so lots of cool projects to work on.

    Cons

Employment is currently in decline in US and Western Europe. So, staffing is declining in sales now in many countries. Recessions really beat on sales. While being updated, a lot of the IT infrastructure is out date. Living in Michigan in the Winter can be depressing.

    Advice to Management

Become a stronger advocate for worker rights.

    Pros

Very welcoming environment, encourage career advancement in terms of both vertical and horizontal mobility.

    Cons

I haven't found any downsides yet!

    Advice to Management

They seem to be doing a very good job at running a sound company. Even in this poor economy they are still hiring

    Pros

Great staff communication and high wages. Long term assignments that lead to possiible careers. Bonus at year end is very helpful.

    Cons

The benefits are not worth getting in relation to the cost involved and the cost to use them. It is cheaper to have no insurance.

    Advice to Management

My best advice is to offer a better benefits package to long term employees and to long term contract employees. After 6 months on an assignment would be fair. They should consider it for the health and happiness of their employees.

    Pros

very strong culture at corporate; consistent company strategy; good promotional/growth opportunities; very friendly colleagues

    Cons

doesn't change quickly enough; owner/chairman still involved so decisions can be watered down (people are still afraid of TA); can be political - having sponsors is important; tough economy has been tough on Kelly

    Advice to Management

pay the field more - it will stem some of the turnover issues; spend more time on your culture...you have a good thing going and should promote it more

    Pros

I really had to make a certain amount of money to maintain my bills, and I was impressed that the rep worked hard to find me temp employment to fit that.

    Cons

There are not very many. It is a temp agency, so work is unpredictable, but that is to be expected.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have much to say for improvement. The rep with whom I worked was really helpful to me.

    Pros

They work hard to match you with a position you will be happy in. The staffing supervisors are very personable and really take to heart your career goals and desired positions. I was always paid much more than people from other staffing agencies with similar responsibilities.

    Cons

The downsides of Kelly Services are the downsides of every staffing agency. You may be told that a position will last six months and then be let go in a few weeks (because the company decided they didn't need you). Some positions will be called "temp-to-perm" and then not go permanent.

    Advice to Management

No advice, this is a great company. If you are going to work for a temp agency, choose Kelly Services. I worked for them three summers in college and then 2 years after college.
