I worked at Kelly Services (UK)
Pros – When you are responsible for several offices in area, you develop the relationship with your colleagues quite quickly. You can travel a lot. You can also realize yourself as the one who push some project forward.
When you take a peek over your shoulder, you can easily see, the tasks you helped to be finished, which is nice.
Cons – Country managers are mostly playing unfair game with their subordinates and employees. The fact about decision to close the office in our country was well known more than 3 months earlier because of rumors and word spreading, before VP took his courage to visit us to let us know about this finally.
Communication across the levels of the company is one of the weakest points. Some senior managers seems not to be too much concerned about the atmosphere in the office, rather they are more bothered about the time, they can leave the office, and spend some time with their relatives.
Advice to Senior Management – Give better motivation to your employees, improve the communication skills not only on local managerial posts, but even in VP and country manager's position.
