    Pros

-A lot of young, creative, and energetic employees
-The company promotes a lot of social issues- Amfar and Aids research is very important to Kenneth and is prominent throughout the company's advertising and branding

    Cons

-Depending on the department you're in, growth may be difficult.. Felt a little trapped at times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Department heads should communicate better, often takes a while to get necessary things done due to lack of communication

I worked at Kenneth Cole as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Kenneth Cole has a relatively relaxed atmosphere for a New York-based fashion company, so it's a great start for potential interns who would like to give the fashion industry a shot without being intimidated, overworked, or abused.

    Cons

    1) It's difficult to feel like a part of the company as an intern because there is a bit of a generational gap between interns and employees, many departments are unsure of how to integrate interns into their existing daily routines, and depending on the hiring department, there is not always a lot to do. Most interns in my department sat around waiting for the odd simple task to be thrown their way by chance. 2) This internship really, really should be paid, even if only with a small stipend! The cost of living in NYC is extremely high, and it is particularly difficult for interns (who are students and typically aged between 19 and 22) to afford it. When I worked at KCNY, the only compensation offered to interns was in the form of transportation reimbursement and a small allowance for lunch. I would not have been able to accept my internship offer had my family not been kind enough to offer to pay my way through it. Not every qualified potential intern will have that luxury.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a plan for departments re: integration of interns. It will make everyone's days run more smoothly and productively.

I have been working at Kenneth Cole full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A lot of the people that i have met and worked with are amazing. There is some creative freedom which is great.

    Cons

Too much micro-managing to the point of bullying and highly disorganized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There was a moment where i was paid well fairly. Apparently that was a mistake and had a significant pay decrease, which was unfair. When i brought this to my supervisors attention I was bullied into taking the decrease and taking on more responsibility.
There are times where things are very disorganized, this turns into a scramble.

I worked at Kenneth Cole full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The only pro is the The Kenneth Cole Foundation.

    Cons

The company culture is terrible. If you work in a retail store you are treated like crap by 'corporate' employees. They don't see you as a fellow co worker or peer, they don't follow company policies when entering a store. They talk down to you and belittle you in front of customers. If you try to voice your concerns, you will not be heard. If you try to go to HR about an issue, you will not get a response or will be told by upper management that a person was given a 'stern talking to' followed by a giggle. This company prides itself on advocating for different social causes, why not start advocating for your own employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your store teams, hear them out and treat your stores better because honestly the store and e-commerce revenue is what cuts your paycheck.
