  1.

Great, fun and challenging, but lacks promotions and career development options

I have been working at Kent County Council

    Pros

Great team, and the ability to learn management skills on the job, great centralised HR teams, meaning advise is always at the end of a phone

    Cons

Due to budget pressures, jobs aren't being filled, and understudies are being expected to step up and do that job in there current role, meaning that there are not opportunities for promotion within the team, leading to good, engertic and young staff leaving the organisation.

  2.

    Pros

Easy life. Go to work, have a chat, be as productive or unproductive as you wish, and go home.

    Cons

No training opportunities, very slow career progression, no thanks. KCC are always looking to save money yet they are very inefficient at delivering services.
