A Stepping stone

Diesel Mechanic (Former Employee)

I worked at Kenworth of St. Louis full-time

ProsThey are willing to give you experience, but you have to be self motivated, because they won't send you to training and if they do they usually won't let you practice what you just learned until a year or so after your training. By that time it's not fresh in you mind and they expect you to be a pro at it.

ConsThe management is terrible and when they hire new management they are equally as bad or worse. The owner is very greedy also and thinks of all employees as a dime a dozen.

Advice to Senior ManagementGo to school or something, because just having technicain experience does not make you qualified to be a good manager. Also don't be affraid to ask opinions from your technicians, you don't always have to take there advise but at least it gives you some perspective on things that your unaware of, or don't have access to. Search internally for why your turnover rate is so high.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
