Pros – It was convenient to were I lived at the time, the shifts could be flexible. Additionally store discount was also a perk and I joined whilst the final salary pension was still running.
There was a fairly comprehensive health plan which was relatively inexpensive.
Cons – They removed all commission from sales, additionally there was also mandatory unpaid overtime if you were on a late shift and there were customers still in the store. They removed the final salary pension and forced everyone out of the scheme.
Advice to Senior Management – Restore a paying for performance system this would deliver value to the business and the team
