    Pros

I worked in the Waterbury, VT office for a summer MBA internship and loved the experience. GMCR is an innovative company that encourages new ideas and allows employees to work on things they are passionate about. The work life balance is amazing and the people are great!

    Cons

Not all employees have the strongest drive or work ethic, which can be a bit demotivating.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire young talent to inject some passion and drive into the organization.

    Pros

Great brands and innovative technology helped leverage its products to customers and consumers. K-Cups took coffee to the next level.

    Cons

Small company became a big company.....the tree hugging Vermont Company changed to a more leaner and meaner style of operations.

    Advice to Management

GMCR should treat it's customers as they would want to be treated. It seems more now than even that it's customers and employees are just numbers in a game of chess.

    Pros

This is a great company to work for if you are interested in career development and caring for the environment. Green Mountain is really concerned with making the world a better place

    Cons

One of the biggest downsides to working for this company is that if you are a remote employee, you sometimes can miss out on the opportunities that you would get if you were located at the main headquarters.

    Advice to Management

I would tell management to make sure that the leadership team that you have in place align with all of the company values.

    Pros

Good compensation package. Bonus for entry level employees combination of performance review and company performance, latter of which was always paid out at over 100%

    Cons

Not the best work life balance in certain departments.

    Advice to Management

As company gets bigger, don't lose sight of company's original mission. There was much less of a focus on social corporate responsibility when I left compared to when I started. Develop more company wide standard processes. Have a better understand of system limitations and how they effect employees ability to meet deadline and provide managers with meaningful data.

    Pros

    New building, co-workers, some tasks

    Cons

Management, some benefits, commute/location, work/life balance, culture

    Advice to Management

Get a better idea of the employees and develop a culture. Recognize diversity, not everyone should need a Master's Degree to work there!

    Pros

    The people I worked with

    Good salary

Good benefits (time off, health insurance)

    Great training program

Yearly raises (if you follow the strict guidelines)

    Cons

Forced you to volunteer to get raises

Management has lost grasp of how things work

Lack of communication from the top

    Disconnect from leadership

They are getting rid of people with tenure in trade for younger people.

Safety is pushed but not implemented

Treat production/warehouse workers like low class citizens.

Original board of directors all jumped shipped after the SEC investigation

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what the workers say. Come back to earth and remember the small roots you guys came from.

    Pros

Opportunities are better here than in most places. People can have great benefits working for a company like this one.

    Cons

Management is closed off sometimes. Leadership changes may be needed but for the most part, the company is growing and shows promise on the markets.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be better communication and organization across the company. This starts with the management.
