I worked at Keurig Green Mountain full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are not many companies in Vermont that offer better salary or benefits. If you are already here, might as well give it a try. If you are from elsewhere, best keep looking.

    Cons

I commend the previous management for making the company what it is, but more recently the top management has been pushed out and replaced with greedy corporate types who only care about the bottom line. There is no recognition for doing a good job, only criticism when you don’t. Often employees are used as a scapegoat for poor management decisions. There is little opportunity for promotion or upward movement. Employees are leaving in droves.

The company is going through major restructuring right now and is moving many corporate jobs to Massachusettes.

I worked at Keurig Green Mountain full-time

    Pros

Good benefits and stock options are great. Company is growing at a tremendous rate.

    Cons

The values of Green Mountain coffee and sustainability are long gone. Making Coca-Cola a collassal empire is the new lead.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move the corporate offices out of Vermont. Their underlying values do not belong here.

    Pros

Exciting company that is always innovating and creating new businesses. Has some great leaders in the organization and has a remarkable track record of success. Was a phenomenal place to work and grow as a leader, now just a regular company with a slowing growth trajectory.

    Cons

Brian Kelley makes every decision and this is a significant demotivator. Additionally, the organizational structure is a disaster and people do not understand their role. There have been like 8 reorgs and another is coming. Place is very political and not anywhere near as fun as it used to be. Good people are leaving in droves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow folks to make decisions at all levels and do not abandon the significant growth opportunities that still exist in the U.S. coffee business.

I have been working at Keurig Green Mountain full-time

    Pros

Great people (for the most part), good benefits (too bad not a lot of people use their community service time more), competitive salary

    Cons

Too many layers, no sense of small company anymore, culture has changed too much and not for the best, no sense of cross functional team work mainly due to directors and above.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of egotistical people and bring on the teamwork. Focus more on your team, your people.
