I have been working at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You can grow with the company and are given chances you may not have in larger places. The work, quality and results are what's important. I respect the company and the people who work there, which is important to me at a workplace. The executives work closely with everyone, from the very top down, which is a great learning experience and makes people feel good, involved and appreciated.

    Cons

A generous allowance is given as someone else said in review, but I wish it were more. There's just too much goodness to choose from. There are contests to win clothes, days off and gifts, which is also great.

I have been working at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

One of the smaller High end fashion companies, So hard work does not go unnoticed. Logical issues in or out of the workplace are considered by upper management which made me even more comfortable with this employer. The opportunities to grow are available work ethic will definitely determine your future. A family oriented employer from your dog to your distant cousin co workers receive guests with open arms.

    Cons

In the process of restructuring this may cause uncertainty in some employee's roles. Employer is yet to reach full fashionable potential new collections need to be produced to satisfy the companies rapidly growing following.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff reevaluations, Improved Communication & Fresh Collections will continue this companies success at higher rate. The family part is already where it needs to be

I have been working at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Everything is made by hand in New York. The quality of the product is incredible. No corners are cut. Ever.

I was checking out the store before my first interview, and this lovely woman helped me. It turns out she was the President/CEO of Kiki! This was one of the reasons I took the job, it's how the place is run - everyone pitches in and cares about the brand and each other.

    Cons

It's a close family - if you don't get the culture, it can be difficult to blend in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have an endless wish list of things that I want from Kiki. Although the allowance is generous, it never seems to be enough. A girl can always dream!

I have been working at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

You get the sense that the employees really care and want to be there. There's never a dull moment, lots going on and people are busy. The President interacts closely with everybody and cares; it's a tight family, people have your back - there's no drama (which is rare).

    Cons

More off-site meetings where the employees in the other cities get to meet each other in person.

I worked at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I joined the company as part of the executive team and was trusted with responsibilities and supported by management to exceed targets. The CEO/President was my direct supervisor, and I count her as one of my greatest mentors. I was exposed to all facets of the business and learned more at Kiki than anywhere else I've worked previously.

    Cons

The company would benefit from mid-level management.

    Pros

It's a small company - you wear many hats. If you like to learn a lot in a creative place, you'll love it. The people are great, and the management is solid.

    Cons

The pros can be the cons for some who like larger companies with more rules.

I worked at Kiki de Montparnasse

    Pros

    The store, products, and coworkers.

    Cons

After six months of exceeding targets above and beyond without receiving commission or even timely pay since HQ could not get it together, the company decides to fire all part time staff to "cut all loose ends." Months later, I find out that they hired another part timer. The people running this company are completely psycho and unethical.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop treating your staff like they are all dispensable.

I worked at Kiki de Montparnasse full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great clientele, fair product allowance and good discount, small company so you have the potential to learn a lot if allowed.

    Cons

The brand is afraid to lose any luxury cachet that they don't want to try anything new. Very poor management. Employees are micromanaged by people who have no clue what the job entails. In an effort to not make the wrong decision - no decisions or progress is ever made.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You hire intelligent, capable people - you have to trust them to do their job or you set everyone up to fail. And please pay your employees fair wages. If you allow them to do their job, the company will earn enough to pay people fairly.
