Pros
Competitive compensation, strong brands, increased focus on innovation
Cons
Suffocating amount of meetings, slow product development, limited opportunities for individual contributors
Advice to Senior Management
Where did career development go? Early in my career, development was a priority and a value, now it feels more like a popularity contest when trying to advance. Please train your managers to develop their people, not just rate their performance.
Pros
Great people to work with.
Cons
Promotions are largely based on how long you've been working rather than competency.
Advice to Senior Management
Reward those who work hard and get results rather than punish those who don't.
Pros
Great co-workers, good hours, and beautiful campus.
Cons
Tasks were sometimes basic and tedious
Advice to Senior Management
Keep supporting your employees the way that you do
Pros
Overall an enjoyable place to work with lots of friendly people. The facilities are nice and communication between management and lower level employees is fairly open.
Cons
There are way to many meetings to actually be productive. On top of that it there are little to any fresh ideas. They all seem to go in a cycle.
Advice to Senior Management
I say the leadership is fairly good, but they need to be more open to new ideas and taking risks more often.
Pros
Good flexibility with hours, typically good peers to work with, solid health and retirement benefits, relatively relaxed dress code, stable core businesses that do not vary much based on the national economy.
Cons
The working environment used to be much more 'family' like and personal but has definitely moved much more impersonal over the last few years. The focus has definitely shifted to results and rating people into boxes based on performance. Also, leadership has definitely distanced themselves more and more from the day to day work and are much more out of touch than ever.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your people and take a walk out to where the actual work happens. Just because people can use your favorite buzz words of the day, that doesn't mean they are actually providing real value to the company.
Pros
People are smart and great to work with - not competitive, willing to help
Great Benefits
Work Life Balance - can't beat it!
Cons
Location is the only con
Sometimes company can be too conservative
No other cons that I can think of
Advice to Senior Management
Great Job!!
Pros
Great workplace to build personal relationships outside of work. Good learning experience for the new employee up to 10 year mark. Competitive salaries for the region. Great health care benefits package compared to other companies.
Cons
Let itself get to "fat" and working on the too little too late method to solve. Lots of favoritism shown in advancement. Career advancement/development really hits a wall at the 10 year mark. Reducing or removing many great benefits that made it a great company to work for.
Advice to Senior Management
I would love to see the senior management get more involved with the grass roots employees. The CEO is not supported by most of the grass roots employees. Take the approach of Domino's....you made mistakes but you truly want to make it right now. Trust me it will work with customers and employees.
Pros
Strong financial position. Fairly secure
Cons
Not focused on American markets. Better to seek employment from Clearwater or another company that is investing in its American Manufacturing.
Advice to Senior Management
Rather than closing your assets cut down on the size of your corporate collosus. If Clearwater can make a great profit with only American assets why can't you?
Pros
I was given complete control of how I could increase sales. I felt well compensated, valued, and respected by the company.
Cons
Since I was given almost complete independence, there was little feedback on my performance. I would have liked some sort of review or how I could improve.
Advice to Senior Management
I would say an intern training at corporate would have been immensely beneficial rather than come visit the campus and let the intern figure things out.
Pros
It is a standard manufacturing working environment. The benefit ind salary s not bad compare to other company in Singapore.
Cons
It is difficult to be promoted to the management level unless you have the passionate to work for a long period.
