Pros
Great company, people are nice and willing to help.
Cons
It takes a long time to make decisions. Too long.
Advice to Senior Management
Analysis Paralysis
Pros
Kimberly Clark used to be "the" place to work, but with all the cuts over the last few years, morale has really gone down hill.
Cons
Upper management is all about the numbers, showing no concern as to the way the employees feel
Advice to Senior Management
Go back to the way things used to be 20 years ago.....there was a little compassion shown by upper management
Pros
The pay is good. The managers are all friendly and easy to work with. The company provide challenging tasks for employees.
Cons
Moved alot by the manager, hard to stay in one city. The work sometimes are overwhelming. No pay over 40 hours a week
Advice to Senior Management
Station the employees in one location if the employee is happy with that location. That way, it prevent employees getting demotivated
Pros
Good salary
Good benefits
Great support from management
Flexible hours
Friendly work environment
Cons
Sometimes long hours involved
No overtime for 40+ hrs
Advice to Senior Management
Compensation for work hrs more than 40
Pros
The people are very laid back and easy going. It is easy to get along with other employees at work.
Cons
Manufactoring environment must be where you want to work. You have to get used to a plant and what it entails.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep the way things are. Employees seem satisfied the way things are run.
Pros
Nice facilities, on the surface they make you feel it's a great place to work, offering amenities and benefits and opportunities. If it were managed better, it could be a place that respects employees and customers.
Cons
Managed by fear and good ol boy tactics , ruthless with employees and disrespectful to customers. Operates by arrogance and hubris. Currently run by an accounting executive that is not people or customer oriented. Management implements ruthless downsizing, using phony forced rankings and employee ratings to downsize , primarily targeted at older long term workers to reduce retirement liabilities. Very unethically managed company .
Advice to Senior Management
Stop talking about how great and ethical you are and start doing the great things that you say you do.
Remove current management and revive this once great company. Start by operating by the companies founders principles, that employees are its greatest assets.
Pros
There are many locations to work in the USA and abroad, and it is easy to get hired on with little effort it seems.
Cons
Many of my fellow employees agree that the safety policies are very extreme. It seems the company feels that if they penalize us when we precievably do something unsafe. Not sure where they are headed with this issue, but it is very unreasonable and inept. It surely makes this a rather nasty place to work. There policy is one gets sent home for two weeks without pay, second is immediate termination. It appears we are just "B" numbers, (ie. B71233). Somewhere us employees lost our names and our personalities.
Advice to Senior Management
Back off on the punishment for precieved safety violations. Management needs to be real and understand that persons are going to get hurt in a manufacturing environment. K-C has lost some very valuable personnel due to violations, and these persons kept K-C equipment functioning. K-C has had a lot of employees quit because of the policies. It is not right...
Pros
- Decent benefits
- OK salaries
Cons
- Poor upper management
- Middle management not encouraging enough.
Advice to Senior Management
-Listen to employees
- Dont burn out salaried employees with a lot of overtime that they dont get paid for.
- Maybe introduce a "overtime" salary for salaried employees that work long hours
Pros
Gave great exposure to working on important projects while a co-op. Management would have faith in co-ops to complete their projects with their own direction.
Cons
The organization is too large and disorganized for tasks to get completed in a timely manner due to all the approvals needed.
Advice to Senior Management
To be more proactive in providing negative feedback, it is easy to provide positive feedback but when someone knows what to improve on, it'll make things much easier.
Pros
Strong brand recognition and financial outlook; great place to work - family oriented company.
Cons
Too many things on the plate - should focus on executing one deliverable at a time.
Advice to Senior Management
Should execute against deliverables with high sense of urgency.
