I worked at Kimley-Horn and Associates full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good at Kimley-Horn. Nothing to change there. They offer every employee an annual bonus, with bonus amount based on your performance.

Great ability to grow and move up in this company if you're an engineer. Harder to grow and move up for those that are not engineers.

    Advice to Management

Be sure to take care of and provide opportunities to all employees, regardless of their role within the company, even if they aren't the ones winning work. .

    Pros

Great people to work with. Entrepreneurial environment. Your only limits are your own ambitions or amount of time!

The company will take as much time and effort as you will give to it. You have to draw hard lines and make it clear when you need to go home or you will end up there a lot.

Good company to work for, but count on long hours.

    Pros

Company pays well, bonuses are substantial, they're loyal to long-time employees (possibly to a fault).

    Cons

Don't expect that 40 hours a work is going to cut it. Working a lot of extra hours is great when bonuses come around, but not so great on your family.
