    Pros

The only reason why I am still here is that it is close to my home, I make good money and I haven't found a better job!

    Cons

No communication between staff. Therapy is not respected. They have a low census!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to develop better communication between all professionals.

Current Employee - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Marrero, LA

    Pros

    The PRN rates are competetive.

    Cons

Being PRN and unable to find Full time or Part Time work in my local area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay to have Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants on staff in different hospitals across the USA; it is less expensive to hire us than it is to have a O.T. on staff.

    Pros

The employees at this facility seem to care a lot for their patients as otherwise no one would work for this company.

    Cons

Nearly everything, poor communication, lack of concern for well being of employees, HORRIBLE benefits for 'healthcare' workers, NO pay raises, etc, etc...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get in touch with your employees, offer better benefits and more competitive pay.

Current Employee - Maintenance Supervisor  in  Moscow, ID
Current Employee - Maintenance Supervisor in Moscow, ID

    Pros

Hours Monday-Friday Dayshift most of the time.

    Cons

My boss calls me on my private phone when I am off. I am not paid to be on call but the nursing home will call me when I am on vacation using vacation time and other times I am off and NEVER financially been compensated. The medical insurance is the worse in the country. We have a $16K medical deductible before it will cover anything. We have to jump through a LOT of hoops to get a discount on insurance premiums. Haven't had a raise in 3 yrs and after 5 yrs I earn hardly any PTO. I am a supervisor of a Department and brand new CNA's make more money than me.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I asked the ED for a raise he wouldn't answer me for 3 months. I finally demanded an answer and was told it was impossible for him to give me a raise. I feel really used and abused. My ED calls me on my phone all the time outside of work hours and expects me to be available 24/7 but I am not salary and I am not compensated for constantly being called.
