    Pros

Friendly staff, good work/life balance, Salaries were somewhat competitive.

    Cons

The merger and the economy took a big toll on this organization. Moral was low and lots of lay offs. Too much politics. Glad the merger didn't go through and seems like lots has improved since then.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Stay competitive in the market with new features.

    Pros

    The hours are great M-F 8:00 to 4:30 or 8:30 to 5:00

    Cons

The goals are next to impossible sense your foot traffic is seen about 80% of the same members (customers) on a daily basis. You are expected to almost be cold calling the members the majority of the time to make these goals, and management think it is your fault when your contact rate is low.

    Advice to Management

The goals for the onsites need to be re-evaluated

    Pros

they will promote within EVEN if candidate isn't qualified nor cares if underquified.

    Cons

Small minded Petty Double standard orientated

    Advice to Management

Rather than promoting people due to "being at the right time at the right place"...you should really reward people who genuinely do great work.

    Pros

    Pay and benefits were good

    Cons

high production expectations & do not respect the staff

    Advice to Management

Poor management staff, only out to make themselves look good, upper management is out of touch with reality.

    Pros

if you like autonomy, you'll find it here. You're pretty much left alone to do your job, as long as you hit your targets and don't make a mistake.

    Cons

Little to no coaching in the culture. There's a definite separation between exec management and the worker bees. Exec management is mercenary force with no empathy for so California realities. IT is cumbersome.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk. Get in touch with issues faced by the front lines. Leave the Texas-sized ego, the 8 kids, and Canada out.

    Pros

Ok environment, although that varies from branch to branch. Mostly helpful management, and co-workers. Lots of tools to succeed, right manager will give you opportunities to advance. Some cool sales contests from time to time with good prizes given as incentives.

    Cons

Conflicting goals and quotas from executive level. Employees at the bottom rung have to exceed unrealistic goals in order to be rewarded for their hard work. Dont expect overtime hours. Usually doing tasks not in your job description, and not compensated for extra work ontop of your expected job duties, does not pay to be a team player. Company is sales oriented no matter how much they claim they are there for the member, employees are hardly acknowledged unless a member or fellow coworker makes a point to praise them to managers, and even then nothing but a simple "good job" results. Always feels like you dont get paid enough to do what you do, since your asked to do a lot.

    Advice to Management

No matter how much new money you bring into the company you are unlikely to recieve any bonuses unless you exceed unbalanced quotas set by out of touch upper management, when only one employee exceeds the quota company wide (and questionably at that) you know you have a problem with expectations. It should not be held against an employee if they would rather not participate in community service on their own personal time, some employees would rather spend time with their family and should not be scored lower against employees who chose to do community service, should have nothing to do with rating employees, strictly a personal choice, thats like saying people who don't smoke deserve higher praise and rewards for their life choice against those that do.

    Pros

Unlike a majority of IT environments at other companies, the egos are at a minimum which makes any hurdles that come along from time to time much easier to resolve. When concerns come up about a project, if you're part of the process, regardless of your title, they will hear them out and weigh them in. Well thought out core values, they really do care about their employees, so we can focus on taking care of our members. It's a great place to work.

    Cons

Lunchroom food is horrible, bring your own or eat out.

The people are great and nice. The company reaches out to the community. Mission and vision of company are highly demonstrated. STaff is given necessary resources to succeed. Overall great company to work for.

    Cons

Its slowly becoming into a bank type environment with aggressive sales goals and task. Little or no room for advancement within the company.

    Pros

The people are great, courteous and nice. The culture of the company is that it wants to reach out to the community; so there are ample opportunities to help the community.

    Cons

It is hard for a Credit Union (CU) to compete against big banks, given that both CU's and big banks operate under similarly stringent regulations. You would want to learn to be frugal with the CU's resources.

    Advice to Management

The management team is very approachable, and they listen to input from employees. The management team's business acumen is high, but their action is very cautious, slow and steady. As a result, the revenue stream is also slow coming in.
