    Pros

Low Micromanagement, Great people to work with and great products.

    Cons

Training needs improvement, increase in base salaries and adjust quotas so they are truly achievable, increase car allowance and cover gas to industry standard and don't implement micromanagement to offset the improvements you make. Improve in house customer service with basics on how to handle people on the phone and proper tone when speaking with customers.

    Advice to Management

To SLT - Training needs improvement, increase in base salaries and adjust quotas so they are truly achievable, increase car allowance and cover gas to industry standard and don't implement micromanagement tracking (GPS apps) to offset the small improvements you make. Improve in house customer service with basics on how to handle people on the phone and proper tone when speaking with customers. Actively pursue managed care issues in smaller rural areas rather than ignoring because they aren't important to the whole and seem minute.

    Pros

Lots of changes mean plenty of opportunity to learn something new.

    Cons

Promotions not usually given unless a major change happens. At times, very stressful as something is always changing here.

    Pros

The sales representatives are top notch. They work well on a team, which is necessary in this environment. Compensation is on par with other medical device companies.

    Cons

Little or no training for management, however they were working on it when I was there. Best to have experience as a manager before joining KCI. Need to hire from within (sales representatives needed to be promoted to marketing/sales manager positions). Unfortunately great talent left the organization because they weren't promoted.

    Advice to Management

Assign mentors to new managers. Promote from within. Don't look for problems/build on successes.

    Pros

    steady work. Benifts are acceptable

    Cons

Management as well as human resources have no integrity. Multiple times hourly workers not given raises while the company continues to dominate the market and expand year over year.

    Advice to Management

Too top heavy of a company.

    Pros

This was once a great company and has a wonderful reputation in the healthcare space. Seeing the excitement on clinician's faces is inspiring and watching the products work with little issue is amazing. The products truly improve patient's lives.

    Cons

The company has been public then private so many times it is hard to keep track. Management is trying to acquire additional companies to take on a J&J model, but execution is poor. They have a lot of good ideas, but they disrespect the sales function and as such moral is still in the dumps. I saw so many good ideas go nowhere because upper management would not stick to a strategic direction. Turn over at all levels is high... even the C-Suite was constantly changing... and the company just can't get back on its feet.

    Advice to Management

Pick a strategic direction and stick with it. Focus on execution, moral, and keeping your talent. This is a young management team... don't be arrogant and admit that you don't have all the answers and learn from other CEOs and talk to the field to know what is truly going on. You keep on trying to do the right things, but keep on failing. Ask yourself why. There is a reason your "willingness to recommend" scores have not been dramatically improving.

    Pros

A couple great products that truly help patients.

    Cons

Worst commission plan in the industry. Don't pay reps what they should have earned. Do not share profits with sales reps. Morale is absolutely terrible. They reduce car reimbursement, when the rate does not cover most reps gas/insurance/depreciation. They charge a monthly fee for paying for spousal insurance coverage, same fee smokers pay. The quotas are unrealistic. 100% growth on products that have been out for years. Majority of the sales reps are not making commissions. Monthly commission draw structure, lots of reps who actually owe the company money after a quarter.

    Advice to Management

Wake up. Support your field reps. We have had 3 head sales leaders in 2 years. We have had at least 8 changes to our commission plans in 2 years, all not beneficial to the rep. You are not paying your reps, and they are the ones fighting and generating revenue for the company. Major wins over a competitor last year required reps to spend hours on nights and weekends to generate sales through education. The company increased revenue and market share dramatically - then you changed the plan and did not pay us for those sales. Disgusting.

Develop visible plan that all can support Minimize upper ,management hires and provide more support staff for support of current product line at least
