Pros
Family friendly, great benefits and compensation
Cons
Hard to get promoted, inconsistent recognition across organization
Advice to Senior Management
Moot, as company was bought by Pfizer.
Pros
Iftar district managers were the highlight of king. Real people with sales experience but not too far removed from the field to understand the concerns of sales reps
Cons
Company was primed to be sold And management was kept in the dark about everything so the leadership from the top down could not inform the sales force of anything
Advice to Senior Management
There is nothing you can do when the big boys decide that they are going to sell the company and tell no one of their intentions
Pros
great bosses. good work. good exposure
Cons
downsides of working at King Pharmaceuticals are that there is no growth, deadlines are tight. lack of clarity on vision and too much stress on bottom line.
Pros
Vacation is good and bonuses were good prior to 2008, after that bonuses were completely restricted and not possible to achieve.
Cons
I was given one job to do by C-level executive management, but the top C-levels of the company didn't agree with what was done. As a result they came after me, even though direct supervision thought I was doing a good job as instructed. Somewhat of a short-sighted and ruthless approach. Overall, I liked the people and area I worked with, not impressed with most senior levels.
Advice to Senior Management
They hire professionals to do the job and shouldn't use fear and intimidation to get the job done. people know that business has challenges and that tough decisions need to be made, but personal attacking does not help overall morale.
Pros
Great people, good co-workers, friendly
Cons
The management that's been in place for years is incompetent
Advice to Senior Management
Fire yourselves
Pros
Small company so have more responsibilities
Cons
poor management , stereotype mindset, micro management
Advice to Senior Management
identify talent and let it grow
Pros
The benefits are good. King seems to be concerned with employees work/life balance and allows employees some flexibility with their schedules. King has been making efforts to promote healthy lifestyle by implementing exercise gyms and annual health screenings.
Cons
Lack of communication between key personnel. Management gets treated much better than the regular employees. Have gone through numerous layoffs and it can be pretty stressful.
Advice to Senior Management
King is on the right path. Keep personnel informed during large projects or upcoming major projects. When management is on edge, it makes for a poor work environment.
Pros
The company is good and supportive of all of your goals and are very flexible with hours and accomodating of their employees.
Cons
The small nature of the company does not afford you a lot of room to grow in your career or progress to new roles.
Advice to Senior Management
Not much to say. Management is competent and runs the company in an efficient manner. The environment is kept low key.
Pros
decent salary and good compensation
Cons
no room for advancement or opportunites to enhance skills
Advice to Senior Management
There needs to be less emphasis placed on lunches and programs that doctors do not show up to and more emphasis placed on growing the business.
Pros
compensation and benefits were good
Cons
micromanagement of all levels and does not support career growth
Advice to Senior Management
look at some of your senior leaders
