    Pros

    Got to interact with patients.

    Cons

Pay suppose to be bi-weekly. Pay day would come and he would hide because he wasn't paying us. Always had problem getting paid. He would make sad face and cry he's broke. Than when he did pay our checks were getting smaller and smaller. His response to that is, he just didn't feel like we did enough work. Some people stayed even after not getting paid for the month. He knew he could get away with it. Its a low income neighborhood and he treats them as they are uneducated and they should be grateful for what they do get.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop worrying about your future endeavors and worry about what you have now. Mostly, don't turn your nose up to employees some have families so pay them what they are due on the day it is due.

    Pros

Has the potential for you to grow. You are able to learn from the patients and people that are resent within the hospital

    Cons

No leadership what so ever in many departments, dreaded going day in and day out . There are not many oppurtunities available to workers after internship

I have been working at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center

    Pros

The benefits are comparable and fairly competitive. The work week is limited to 35 hours per week. They are generous with sick time.

    Cons

The managment is neither skilled nor competent. The morale is incredibly low. There is a union mentality so there is no incentive to try harder or do better. The atmosphere is punative.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to be trained in how to manage people and how to promote growth and positivity. I have not witnessed many managres as having knowledge of how to deal with employees and certianly very few of the managers actually value the employees and the work that they do.
