    I have been working at Kirkland's part-time

    Pros

Very customer friendly oriented, you don't have to have a sales goal. Busy so time goes by fast. Great discount. Great friendly employees

    Cons

Climbing high ladders to stock merch. Opening a lot of boxes, getting covered in glitter and must be able to lift big mirrors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None, my manager is awesome - after every shift she thanks me which makes me feel valued and important. I love this job.

Not a bad place to work but dead end

    I worked at Kirkland's part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Employee discounts, a great team, great store front set up

    Cons

Low pay, and if you work part time sometimes you will get as little as 10 hr. for the week. High turn around. Back room (storage) leaves a lot to be desired. No lunch area for employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give hours to the employees that are loyal and stop constantly hiring more people. Give better incentives to all employees. Be professional at all times without disposition.

I have been working at Kirkland's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The store's product sells itself. Very nice home interior type merchandise. The store is very busy and work days go very fast.

    Cons

Low pay, not enough hours per week makes for a small payroll check. The job can become somewhat physical, as most employees are scheduled to unload the truck 2 days per week and break down the boxes of merchandise. All employees are expected to walk or stand the entire shift, with no breaks for employees working less than 6 hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has been tremendously supportive and easy to get along with.

I have been working at Kirkland's

    Pros

I like the flexible schedule and the great team spirit to tech company goals.

    Cons

I don't like the pay for the amount of work that they have you to do. It is not enough to live off of and they don't offer full time except through manager position.

    I worked at Kirkland's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Team Leader/General Manager gets 40% off ... even on sale items. Love one on one helping people.

    Cons

Job description says 45 hour work week .. more like 55.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just like our district managers pops in on us ... you need to do the same on them for ride alongs. sometimes when the district manager really dosent like the location they really dont want it to excell. One store is treated different than the rest in the district by saying ... it will never grow out of a mall or they will never let you get out of the mall because the rent is dirt cheap. Need more insentives for team members that work less than 30 hours a week.

I have been working at Kirkland's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

My only pro of the company is the customers

    Cons

The pay is too low. Some of the employees are very rude, manipulative, and just so uneducated. You get absolutely nothing from enrolling people into K-club which is pretty stingy if you ask me. I've never worked for a company where there's basically no motivation or drive to do anything for the company. I'm already gotten bored, 've got better things to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to keep employees give some type of incentive.
