Minimum wage and shifts can drag on when the store is slow.

I worked at Kitchen Collection full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Customers were awesome. Location awesome. Coworkers and asst. manager were wonderful. Interesting and quality kitchen gadgets. Surrounding businesses were great.

    Cons

No appreciation. Low pay. Disrespectful. Inconsiderate. Unreasonable. Spiteful. If not for the wonderful customers, sales associates and asst. manager this store would have went under years ago.

    Advice to Management

Quit throwing the hard working employees under the bus. Do some actual real work and take some responsibility for your sinking ship and quit passing the blame. Get real!

I worked at Kitchen Collection part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discount on KitchenAid mixers is nice. I had some decent co-workers, and I enjoyed expanding my culinary knowledge.

    Cons

The pay is terrible. Management is ridged and frowns on innovation. Management puts customer service and attentiveness to customer needs very low, and places an emphasis on how many SKUs an employee can stock in an hour as the yardstick of a employee productivity. Every location I have visited is flailing, yet the company will not modernize its marketing or processes.

    Advice to Management

Evolve, get with the times, change your brand message, and put your customers first. Treat your employees better, and allow them to give your guests the attention they deserve.

    Pros

They have retirement, paid vacations..and do very well for raises.

    Cons

The over work the store manager. With no benefit. They don't seem to care about the law on lunches breaks etc....and don't listen to suggestion on how to save time and money.

    Advice to Management

Need to investigate there store areas before opening a store...
