Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Industry respected products. Products mostly made in USA. Nice headquarters building. Pretty good health plan. Employee discounts on company tools.
Cons
Not well managed at any level. It is never about what you do or what you accomplish, it is all about who your friends are and who you are aligned with. Backstabbing and politics are rampant. Turnover is very high. They fire employees if someone in the "in crowd" decides they don't like someone, and when they do get rid of people, they try to fight unemployment claims. They even contract with some legal firm to try to prevent people they get rid of from collecting benefits.
Advice to Senior Management
Being in the family doesn't mean someone is qualified to run a company. Let the family run the board, but hire CEO's from the outside who actually have a proven track record of guiding and managing a successful corporation! Klein is far from the only family owned company that has had this issues, and others have resolved many problems by hiring outside upper management. Learn from these other companies instead of doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!
Pros
If you are not seeking career advancement or fair pay.
Cons
Management doesn't know how to manage and adopt ways to make employees responisible for writing their own job function procedures until something goes wrong and then the management points the finger at the employee as the culprit. When in doubt or in trouble, blame the employee.
Advice to Senior Management
The company needs a stronger structure and more positive culture in order for it to be more profitable. Too many managers don't care about doing their jobs and micromanage. As a result, employees are not properly instructed and managers hide the damaged products or don't check the final product being shipped to vendors or CR. Too many planners don't know their jobs and get paid to walk around and do nothing but cover their mistakes until it snowballs. CR laughs at how poorly management performs and runs thier departments.
