    I worked at KlingStubbins full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Most of my co-workers were intelligent and hard working
    Exposure to very large projects
    Great location in center city

    Cons

    Felt like a ship with no captain sometimes
    Long hours and no appreciation for putting in the long hours
    Bonus is not performance based even though they claim it is
    As soon as work dries up and you are unbillable start shopping for a new job, instead of finding work for you to do no matter what it is they'd rather just lay you off

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't be so greedy and careless about the personal lives of the employees allowing you to collect a fat bonus at the end of the year. You were always quick to make a scapegoat out of someone instead of taking ANY of the blame.

    I have been working at KlingStubbins full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Pro- i could pretty much do what i want due to the limited amount of work but then again this was a few years ago when the economy started to go down. But I worked with great people. Basically i went in to answer the limited phone calls.

    Cons

    There was not enough work to be done so it got really boring so I played a lot on my computer. The work was not challenging at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    cut the hours

    I have been working at KlingStubbins full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Convenient to public transportation (center city location)

    Cons

    Principals need to be enlightened as to what is REALLY going on, Sr staff members are not always respectful, hours are crazy, pay is not so great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get a clue. Don't expect everyone to work 50-60 hrs just because you can't manage your day. Senior Management (Principals) need to be more respectful of a persons life balance. We're NOT making 6 figures, you are so you can work as many hours as you'd like but the rest of us have a life and work very hard within 40+ hrs while one Principal in particular held court with her friends until 11 AM and then decided to start her day. She worked until 9 PM but that's because she didn't do anything all morning long and then I was expected stay that late and commute an hour home when i actually started work at 8AM. This job was horrible and the person that I supported was very difficult.

    A good place to work, but more emphasis on quality of product and development of employees would help.

    I have been working at KlingStubbins full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Lots of young people to work with, Right in Center City, Opportunities to gain responsibility.

    Cons

    Too often project schedules are set arbitrarily by client, time given to complete similar tasks is not often consistent, resulting in less than a satisfactory result in some cases. Deadlines may sometimes require significant overtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It would help to make things less chaotic.

    Opportunities to work on LEEDS projects
    Opportunities for participation in creative and award winning work
    Friendly employees

    Cons

    50 hours of work weekly as a minimum
    Management regards employees as numbers rather than people

    I have been working at KlingStubbins

    Pros

    Competent staff who are helpful when information is needed. Architects and engineers are always available.
    Family atmosphere and diverse project types. Diversity and international work is encouraging.
    Good training and best technologies seem to be available.
    Good benefits compared to other A/E firms in area.

    Cons

    Parking difficult or expensive
    No formal orientation program for new employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Would recommend more than quarterly town meetings. Career development program could use some improvement. Dedicate more resources to BIM and other software training.

    I have been working at KlingStubbins

    Pros

    The best reasons to work for KlingStubbins include several things. They allow flexible work hours within a limit. You are not docked for being a few minutes late and you can take off whenever you need a few hours here and there. We also work half days on Friday. The people there are fun to work with (mostly). We have a variety of diverse projects to work on and we work on all phases of a project.

    Cons

    From year to year, the pay raises taper off and you have to switch jobs. The bonuses for non-stock holders aren't amazing either,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay people what they deserve.

    I worked at KlingStubbins full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    All of the people I worked with were professional and hard working. Christmas Party's were always fun.

    Cons

    Upper Management ran this company into the ground. Poor decision making. GREED!
    Bonus and Salary structure was horrible.. Upper Management only cared about lining their fat pockets while shafting the people who actually made this company stay RUNNING for all these years. They would do anything to skim a cat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sell outs! Destroyed a legend. an Icon of Philadelphia and turned it into a joke. Money and greed killed this legend and turned the KS management into a joke and the entire industry is laughing at you.

    I worked at KlingStubbins

    Pros

    * Some cool people
    * Good about letting you take time off when needed
    * Nice offices

    Cons

    * Low pay - difficult to get a raise, so negotiate hard for your starting salary
    * Parking - zip, keep this in mind when you're negotiating money
    * Some not-so-nice managers
    * High stress
    * Very political - difficult to get promoted

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Show some respect to the people doing the work. Pay people what they're worth. Accept responsibility when YOU make a mistake - don't pass the buck.
