    Pros

the people were nice and easy to get alone with. The personnel were very understanding when i lost my grandmother. they gave me bereavement time to get her funeral together.

    Cons

the fiberglass was very itchy and uncomfortable. contractors were not allowed safety locks. the contractors worked odd shifts unlike the regular workers.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff the way you would want to be treated. you will get more out of your people if you treat them fair

    Pros

World class manufacturer, family owned company with committed principles who are willing to invest.

    Cons

Customers are not as important in the culture as they should be. Company values machines and operational elements above all.

    Advice to Management

Would like to see as much emphasis and investment on the customer-facing side of the business as there has been on the manufacturing side.

    Pros

Where do I start? The pay is great along with the benefits. There is a gym on the facility where employees can get a little exercise during their hectic weeks. A clinic is located on the grounds in order to meet the needs of all employees. Even though I have a really long drive, it's worth it. Aside from the formalities above, my coworkers are amazing to work with. Everyone helps each other without complaint!

    Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints!

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. I have never felt so cared for at a job. This doesn't even seem like a job sometimes because I enjoy the environment so much. The management makes everyone feel comfortable and needed, even to a receptionist who spends most of her time by herself. The management have been helpful and informative and I've never felt as though I couldn't speak to them.

    Pros

Knauf offers its employees great benefits, on and off site. We have the Knauf Kafe, an on site health and wellness clinic, not to mention the wonderful health benefits and 401K. People have been in the same position for many years as a result of enjoying their job. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of this team!

    Cons

Getting people to accept that change can be a good thing.

    Advice to Management

Keep the lines of communication open.

    Pros

Large and well funded company with a great deal of potential to become more than they currently are today. Nice office although a fair distance from the nearest large metro area (Indianapolis)

    Cons

Lack of communication and empowerment by the corner office. Lack of access as well. Local talent is sub par compared to other organizations of similar size. Appear to tolerate poor work performance as a norm in many lower level positions.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees to do the jobs they were recruited to perform.
