I have been working at Knight Frank (more than an year)

    Pros

Relaxed working atmosphere; however, generally a huge disappointment.

    Cons

No career progression despite reassurances, poor wage, bullying within workplace by manager. Consistently provide support to fee earners whilst belittling support staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not promise career progression to prevent resignations and then not follow up: one year of my life wasted.

I worked at Knight Frank full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

When I worked there the IT culture was good, we were all friendly and we worked as a team. It was a low stress job most of the time. I was encouraged to learn, not just do my work.

    Cons

As a developer looking backwards it we didn't stay up to date with new tools and technologies. There was very little process or code convention improvement and there was absolutely no time given to refactoring old legacy code. The IT Manager could be very emotionally immature at times and this could create discontent and low morale within the development team.
Performance reviews did not couple with a salary review. Salaries were not competitive to with the market. There was little to no recognition for work done by anybody except the bread winners.

    Pros

training and courses are available here. Some helpful seniors.

    Cons

If you fall under a boss that does not know how to lead and changes his/her mind everyother day, it can get very tiring and exasperating

I worked at Knight Frank full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Friendly, professional, financially rewarding and offering enormous opportunities. Hard work is recognised and there is a direct correlation with financial compensation. There are no glass ceilings and staff take great pride in working for the Firm.

    Cons

Very few, but low probability of reaching equity partnership and some senior partners confuse the advantage given by rising markets with actual ability.
