    Pros

Seems like a friendly and accepting work environment at first.

    Cons

Religious choice drives hiring decisions. Hard-working employees and women are under a very low glass ceiling with no opportunity for advancement. Employees unsuccessful in a position are promoted within the company until they find a position they blend into rather than succeed at. Harrassment compaints of any type are not taken seriously - personal experience with sexual harrassment and manager (person at fault) was promoted after complaint was made.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to the quality employees and promote them accordingly. Stop allowing religious choice to choose the people to hire and/or promote. Pay more attention to employee needs and less time on how good your golf game is getting.

    Pros

Beginning salary was pretty good and fellow employees really nice.

    Cons

Management is horrible. No accountability, no real leadership. Not enough positive re-enforcement, just constantly told what you're doing wrong. Negative atmosphere, with a fend-for-yourself attitude. No proper training or support for new workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train new employees thoroughly and give them the support they need until they are performing well without guidance. Give more positive feedback instead of only highlighting the negatives. Understand that unrealistic expectations leads to low-morale and disappointment.

    Pros

Very good equipment and pay scale. Most terminals are clean and have 24 hour access for drivers. they also have a lot of drop and hook freight.

    Cons

They have very good equipment but the lack of support from driver managers is very frustrating. No consistent miles or hometime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Great Company if it HIRED WOMEN Truck Drivers

    Cons

Pre Employment Physical Assessment is designed to disqualify women from being HIRED ! The doctor administering test even stated the weights required to be lifted by women is not practical and is not job function related !

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review your Physical Assessment Test ! So women can be a part of the Knight Team ! Review the fail statistics rate in your company for women regarding this test .

Current Employee - Van Driver in Phoenix, AZ

    Pros

They "offer" some super bonus programs. Getting the trip assignments to enable qualification is interesting at best.

    Cons

No support from driver manager. Spending more time looking for an empty trailer or left without a decent run and/or asked to do local trips in a remote location. Assigned company truck a mixed bag, mechanical issues, truck interior and exterior not maintained by previous assigned driver. I was assured at hire that I would be able to run 2,000 to 2,500 per week. After 6 weeks I have not maxed over 1200. I was anticipating take home pay between $800 and $900 per week. Average todate under $600. Hardly a position where I can improve my income.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a lack of available trailers for van drivers. Spending half a day looking for a trailer without compensation is detrimental to motivating personnel. Driver managers are less than responsive to requests from their drivers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

quit spending so much to advertise for new drivers and start paying the one you have what there worth.

    Pros

Lots of responsibility and always busy

    Cons

Low pay constant negativity without any positive reinforcements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Service your customers don't expect them to meet your needs and ship where you want to go and when. Price your freight for year round service and be in it for the long haul with an understanding of seasonality and not knee jerk reactions to changing market conditions. Reward your all stars and have consequences for people that don't work for the team. Make it clear how the bonuses are calculated.
