    Pros

    No pro's known to me

    Cons

Horrible management, terrible environment, do not sign on to this company, they are a sinking ship looking for ways to take advantage of people short term and then once you realize you are being banged they let you go and hire someone else, rinse repeat.

    Advice to Management

Go away, you are the worst.

  3. I worked at Kohl's for 1 year!

    I worked at Kohl's

    Pros

It's great working there! Managers were helpful and friendly so were co-workers!

    Cons

I liked the way how we get rewarded for helping the store grow!

    Advice to Management

They should give more hours to employers, sometimes we worked 10 hours for a week! This is the only bad thing at Kohl's!

    Pros

Very easy. Quiet environment. Friendly staff. Simple duties.

    Cons

Gets boring quickly especially when holidays are over. Managers will constantly bother you to get credit sign ups. Working a full shift is uneventful when working on the sales floor rather than cashiering or in customer service.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees when switching them to new departments. Keep up on who has taken breaks.

    Pros

Other associates are nice to work with.

    Cons

Management is bad, play favorites all the time. No appreciation for working well by yourself, often work alone on busy normal days. Hours are constantly cut or not kept fair with others' hours, even when available for many hours a week. Store policies itself are difficult to work with and make working with the customers a pain.

    Pros

    Easy Job not very challenging.

    Cons

Job is basically centered only on catching shoplifters. Poor Scheduling, Lack of communication, Lack of business partnership with LPM and DLPM, Regional Leaders lack professionalism. Lack of professionalism.

    Advice to Management

Change with the times and go after what really affects the bottom line of the business. Change focus from externals to internals and operational controls. The company losses far more off the bottom line from these avenues than with the external piece. Eliminate the LPM role as it is unwarranted overhead as any competent DLPM can manage without and control their business. Challenge the DLPM to manage their District and be more hands on with the training and development of the LPS. Institute a senior LPS role for stretch assignments and utilize for Internal Investigations.

    Pros

Flexible, late hours for moms who want to work when dad can be with the kids, students and people with other jobs. Great employee discounts. Great annual day at Great America.

    Cons

Policies to "make customers happy" got so ridiculous that it encouraged customers to lie to and lose all respect for employees because they learned that we had to say "yes" to whatever they claimed and wanted. Management changed. Employees were seen as expendable. What started out as a bunch of cheerful moms and students earning some money, working together, became a new bunch of beaten down people who were only there because they had bills to pay. Anyone who could leave, did.

    Advice to Management

Value and respect your employees so you attract and keep cheerful, quality, dedicated people. They are the face of your company that interacts with your customers multiple times daily.
