    Pros

It is a fast-paced environment so you are always doing something to stay busy. Every associate is kind and loves their job. It is truly a wonderful place to work at!

    Cons

The hours change day to day and there are always customers that will come in unhappy and you have to do the best you can to be polite.

    Advice to Management

Keep making the workplace fun! It's nice to enjoy going into work!

    Pros

Company overall is ok but the biggest pleasure came from working with the customers. The customers are loyal and are the greatest asset.

    Cons

Management puts unrealistic pressure on floor associates that leads to questionable practices as it pertains to signing up new members for credit applications. Most applicants are signed up for a credit card during application process to meet monthly quota for credit card applications. Management does not take time to foster talents of floor associates that could benefit the store and company as a whole. Pay is below national average for supervisors.

    Advice to Management

Be more appreciative of employees and respectful of multiple management styles.

    Cons

Too many chiefs not enough Indians. They will drain every ounce of blood out of you if you let them. Learn to say no.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your workers. Stop pulling your people off the floor and add enough cashiers.

    Pros

Employee discount is average (15%). Flexible schedule for a busy college or home life. Co-workers and the managers are always friendly. Team work is *always* part of the day!

    Cons

Long hours on your feet carrying heavy clothes. Difficult to advance or be allowed to learn other positions. Breaks aren't long and you usually only receive one in a 6 hour shift which makes it more difficult for someone with disabilities. They no longer offer benefits (PTO, Holiday pay, etc.) unless you've worked there for 3+ years.

    Advice to Management

PLEASE stop taking expired Kohl's cash!!! We have been trying hard to make it clear to the customers that we are NO longer taking them, just to have Management come right behind us and tell the customer that we will "just this time". Nothing can be achieved by this. Corporate gets on management, management gets on us, yet, it's management that accepts them. Frustrating.

    Pros

An easy going part time job. The store I worked at was fairly new when I started, but there was plenty of business to keep me busy. The typical retail job all in all.

    Cons

As mentioned above, there was plenty of business, and sometimes there weren't enough hands on duty. Nothing that was a deal breaker, and honestly something I would of encountered at any retail job.

    Advice to Management

Working on consistent scheduling is something I think should be of focus.
