    I have been working at Koinonia Homes

    Pros

    Helping mentally challenged individuals.

    Cons

    Several employees have quit withen the last 3 months. Upper management has made the decision to put a hiring freeze in place. In the mean time the supervisors have no experience, and have poor decision making skills. What company allows supervisors to take 2 weeks vac without any of their staff being informed. You are asked to work late, use your car to transport individuals, and get paid below the average. You will not get a raise if you are out of compliance. First Aid, CPR, CPI, auto insurance, however if your lucky, you may work at the main office and have no worries. They are treated like the royal family, emergency CPI classes are held to keep them in compliance. NOT FAIR!!!! Find another agency unless your desperate. I see the mayfield location closing soon!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Koinonia has claimed to be a non profit. Yea right, They are making a huge profit only for the front office to enjoy. If your a DSP you get kicked, disrespected, and spat on with no support. This is a poorly ran nonprofit, Koinonia no longer a contender in the community for the mentally challenged.

    the people you serve and thier families

    high ups have so much logeveity that they have tons of days off which leave lower management on thier own and they are never accountable

    you do not need 2 nurse mangers to supervise 8 nurse
