    Pros

The company itself is great and is a solid leader in its industry with new, unsurpassed technology that keep it on the tip of the spear of the industry. The job that I have is fun, and I really do enjoy most of the people with whom I work. Also, Chattanooga is a beautiful and amazing place to live, and I can see HQ moving here one day.

    Cons

The pay is extremely low. I learned this after about a year or so of working here. I am considered the most senior at what I do and continually max out my annual goals, yet I am about $15k underpaid, currently. The company gives pretty much the same raise to everyone, meaning the dirtbag you work with got the same raise as you. Also, the company is organized in a VERY flat way, meaning there is very little opportunity for promotion unless someone above you quits or gets fired. If you don't mind moving laterally with not much pay raise, then this is your company.

    Advice to Management

Research how other Supply Chains are run, and mimic those good companies. There is a lot of room for improvement in KAC's Supply Chain.

    Pros

The building has HVAC and running water. The health insurance is pretty good along with 401k matching dollar to dollar up to 4%. Some departments have high morale and good attitudes; the type of folks you would enjoy having a drink after work with.

    Cons

Have witnessed several "high performance" senior managers get hired and miraculously get transformed into VP's only to see them display gross shortfalls such as something as simple as being able to pronounce one of their employees surnames after months of daily interaction with same employee, or not being able to create an intelligible sentence on an email that is written at maybe a 12th grade level. At lower management levels it is micromanagement by a bunch of children. Some people are very cliquish and promotions more about whom you know instead of what you know.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within based upon business achievements/education/good attitudes because you want to see your loyal employees do better for themselves.
