    Pros

    Excellent co-workers, everyone is always willing and able to help in the office, or out in the field whenever possible.
    Fantastic management and directors. Management is willing to roll up their sleeves and get in the trenches to help with the work load. The management staff is also very approachable and does an excellent job in coaching and development of career paths at Konica Minolta.

    Cons

    The channel program unfortunately was limited because the Bizhub line could not be sold via the channel, only direct. All other printers and copiers were allowed for the most part to be sold via the channel sales group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Whomever is doing the hiring, keep them! Konica Minolta has a great eye when it comes to hiring managers and directors that lead their teams to success and a happy work-life balance.

    This has been my least favorite place I've ever worked. I'm giving them the second star for having some many paid holidays off.

    Pros

    The best that I can say is the benefits are really good & there's always overtime. As stated earlier there are lots of paid holidays off.

    Cons

    One of the main complaints from the employees is management. Most of the employees wish that some of the management would learn how to be professional & treat the employees better. The other part of management needs to speak up more for their department &/or people. There is always overtime. People are away from their family's more than they should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be professional & treat the employees right. There is no need to belittle people. A building shouldn't be ran on intimations either. Cut back on some of the Overtime.

    Pros

    Konica Minolta is a large worldwide company with fantastic MFP copier/printers and production printers. Amazing technology because they spend lots of R&D dollars. Growing company that is hiring lots of new people. Trying to become more than only a copier company by offering many new solutions to their product offerings.

    Cons

    Konica Minolta is an unknown name to many but with world class products their reputation will improve over time.

    Advertise more to let companies know more about how great Konica Minolta really is becoming.

    Nice co-workers, and really easy commute.

    Cons

    Bad Management styles. KMBS is living in the the 1950's. Management does whatever they want with no regard for impact to employees who are trying to work hard and keep customers happy.

    IT Department - they are unwilling to help or get projects off the ground. Trying to get a simple report change done will take 6 months.

    Directors act like dictators, I have heard one scream at their manager for no good reason on more than one occasion.

    There is no work from home policy, even though management does it whenever they want.

    Too many office politics from other people in general.

    They decided to do away with United Healthcare and now all we have is Cigna, which is a horrible company to work with for health insurance as the user.

    Vacation time is sparse, and if you are sick more than 2 days they put you out on disability, NOT JOKING.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    SERIOUS CHANGE IS NEEDED TO KEEP TALENTED PEOPLE.

    Co workers were great! Good benefits, worked from home so was able to make my own schedule.

    Cons

    The management was beyond horrible. No support and barely any training. Manager was clueless about selling and the machines.

    I've heard this particular manager is gone so good for you. Sounds like you've cleaned house since I was there.

    Great product, average service department

    Cons

    Extremely high turn over. Many successful people in the industry came and left, some fail miserably as management set them up for failure. Demoralized place to work. Management is disrespectful, oppressive, bad morale, coworkers treat you badly, no team work environment, need big change in local management, low payout in commission.

    Unless you want to waste few months of your life and be set up for failure
    Stay away from this company.

    Pros

    A job with a base salary and benefits, if you need a job and sales experience you can start here, but you will want to move on from this company.

    Cons

    No support or communication from management. You're left to sink or swim. They do not honor their word. It's unbelievable they are in business, turnover is high and it's all about survival. You can not thrive here as a new employee, it appeared only the very seasoned long time employees could achieve goals given to them. Unfair assignments of territories, goals and accounts. Unprofessional environment and inappropriate behavior conducted in office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your employees, your sales people who want to contribute and be in a win/win situation. Not just the manager who is trying to keep their job day to day, month to month, while not helping their sales people in the long run. Utilize talent when you have it. Give your employees the tools you have and show them how to use it. Don't make promises to employees you can't keep and when you can't keep them, at least communicate with them what the situation is so they know where they stand. Let them do the job you hired them to do, rather than micromanage and keep them in the office for no valid reason, just for the sake of it. Think progressively and forward, not what worked when you were a rep, things have changed.
