Pros
Freedom in terms of your work day
Cons
Micromanage employees, keeping track of your calls and everything else.....
Advice to Senior Management
Learn to promote those who truly deserve it, not just family members
Pros
working at KONICA MINOLTA Syria...you will be exposed to wide range problem in the industry..and that's a good place to gain some experience. This is the only good point about working there
Cons
everything is bad, salary, benefits (is there any?), management, respect...etc...you don't want to stay here long
Advice to Senior Management
please!...be open to new ideas and possibilities and don't be pessimistic about your employees and respect their needs and choices. everything is goin on the wrong track in this company
Pros
Exciting industry that is always changing with products to improve productivity. There is always something new to sell and the products are actually useful to a broad market. This makes it exciting for a salesman. Compensation and Benifits are very good.
Cons
A Japaneese company that is inconsistent it their attitude to the US. At one point the US is the most important market - the next year they hate our market because they can not sell and market the product like they do in Japan and Europe. This makes it very difficult for employess because the long term plan becomes multiple short term plans.
Advice to Senior Management
Have a consistent 3 year plan and stick to it. Do not let small setbacks cause you to loose focus on the long term goal.
Pros
Its a job....that about it!
Cons
This is like being in high-school there is tremendous micro-managing and a constant look over your shoulder policy. It is hard to make any money at this place. Several deals get taken by senior people. There is a very high turnover in all their offices. People that have been with this company a long time seem to be leaving. It is a very cut throat environment among your colleagues. There is a lot of back stabbing. I friend of mind that covers the Detroit area is looking for another job right now. Most of the money made for this company comes from Major Accounts. A system specialist can only sell <50ppm and nothing more. That sucks! There is a lot of favoritism that goes on there. It's like the good'ole boys system.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your reps and they may not be heading toward the doors. Stop the micro-managing that is not how a successful sales group works.
Pros
They have the best benefits package that I have ever had at any other job. The paid time off and insurances are very generous. They are very generous when authorizing time off and expenses.
Cons
Senior Management ignores some of the most major issues and allows poor management to make very poor decisions. They don't recognize the employees that truely make a difference in the company. They allow employees to take too much time off with out punishing them. Employees are what run the business. Compensate them appropriately. Overspending on extravagent meetings and dinners are not the way to show employees that they are appreciated.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay more attention to the division that is making the product. Start listening to the people on the bottom. They may be paid the least, but the see the most.
