I worked at Konica Minolta full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Worked in Business Solutions Asia for slightly over 2 years. Was lucky to be under a manager who recognized my efforts and fought for me a promotion. Employee benefits are acceptable and bonus is okay. HR was understanding to provide a fixed "travel allowance" when the office shifted.

    Cons

Senior management does not care much to communicate with lower level employees. Too many organizational and restructuring projects being carried out concurrently and everyone was expected to accomodate and contribute to these projects without affecting daily operations. Company growth and expansion is good but there shouldn't be a need to do it so "desperately". It was basically "I don't care how you do it, just get it done".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management and above needs be more down-to-earth, to put more effort in understanding all employees at all levels, not just those that are one level below them in the hierarchy. Management-employee relations were better when Mr. Ishibashi was at the helm.

    Pros

    Pay is good for performance.

    Cons

Management lack of sales experience in the field.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Walk a day as a sales rep and see what we deal with daily. Non producing support does not keep the doors open. Without sales post sales support donot have orders to process that means they don't have a job.

I worked at Konica Minolta full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The location that I worked at has a very competent service director and was a pleasure to work for,the team that I worked with were all great techs.

    Cons

the corporate staff sometimes makes decisions for us local people without checking into what and how we feel about said decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would suggest to upper management to consider the local team management more closely before they make our decisions for us.

I have been working at Konica Minolta full-time

    Pros

The sales reps and certain management are helpful considering the extreme lack of sales support.

    Cons

Konica offers their sales staff absolutly no support at all. No updated sales collateral, incompetent and lazy administration, a useless customer management program and inept sales managers makes this job impossible. As per our office stat rankings 75% of the sales force is below 60% of quota. The remaining 25% has either inherited large accounts or facility management companies or are favored by upper management. This place is an absolute nightmare and a momentum killer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The US division of Konica Minolta needs restructuring from top to bottom. Sales processes and rules must be established to avoid miscommunication which slows down the sales force a great deal.
