    Pros

    Great commission structure
Easy money if you want it
    Benefits
    Customer service

    Cons

    Little to no training
    Stressful
    Lacked work-life balance
    Favouritism
    Feeling undermined, and unappreciated
    No upward movement
Atmosphere was negative, and pulled you down
Having to call in for every little thing slowed down sales
The TAB is a pain to explain, and most people just don't get it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try working with your employees to keep them on. I've known many people in this company that have put in years, but are stuck and very unhappy.

Former Employee - Sales Representative in Waterloo, ON (Canada)

I worked at Koodo Mobile full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The pay with commission is really generous. The work is also not difficult, given that the deals are usually really good.

    Cons

Management consistently chose employees to be leaders who were not qualified. Long term, goal-oriented employees who had been told they were on the path to management, scoring excellent numbers, were passed over with no good reason in favor of "favourites". Very demotivating environment. Employees were often led to believe that would be given promotions, only to have it go to someone else without warning. Totally unappreciated for hard work. Never had a problem like this at other jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Must re-evaluate leadership strategies. Too many employees made to feel inadequate.

I worked at Koodo Mobile part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great earning potential for a part-time job.

    Cons

Limited opportunities for advancement. I wanted to continue with the company in a more corporate role but they do not provide much training for such roles but expect experience as a requirement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employee development programs to encourage loyal employees to continue on in the company.

I have been working at Koodo Mobile full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good base salary, Excellent commission structure, Great Employee Purchase Plan.

    Cons

Little to no respect from management. So much micromanagement that it inferiates staff. When employees on the selling floor have problems, concerns, or recommendations they are met with very little empathy. Job security is always in question. Staff get bullied passive aggressively.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat the staff with respect and consideration. Remember it is us selling the products that pay for your bonuses.
