Pros
flexable hours and shifts give freedom
Cons
OT when staff leaves unpaid
Advice to Senior Management
more hours for the stores
Pros
If you are starting off in an entry level position such as a sales associate the job is fun if you have a good time interacting with people. The job requirements are fairly basic as Koodo's retail inventory is very simplified and most of your efforts will be spent interacting with clients and getting them to sign up. The atmosphere is fairly laid back and if you happen to be in a team that actually works together, it can be a blast.
Cons
How much you enjoy the job unfortunately rests too much on how your direct manager treats you. Communication is key in this environment and without it, it can lead to a lot of abuse and little recourse because of the way support lines are structured. If you're looking to be engaged at work and want to actively be productive on a daily basis, this job will drain you.
Advice to Senior Management
If you have star performers and high potentials, they are naturally "boisterous". If managers cannot deal with it, job apathy sets in very quickly.
Pros
easy work, good benefits. If you are willing to do everything they ask you will make ALOT of money and feel very comfortable.
Cons
Unfortunately they are VERY numbers oriented and not very human oriented. They will require you to treat existing customers very poorly.
Advice to Senior Management
If they cared as much about there employees as they did the monthly quota, there would not be a better place to work in the world.
Pros
freedom to run my own team, and help develop my sales reps to achive their goals. Dealing with problems all the time
Cons
not working 9-5 and haveing to work weekends. Also haveing to put in overtime when reps are sick or on vaction
Advice to Senior Management
Get a stonger upper managment team in place that can see how the policy they indroduce effects the store level
Pros
Good Pay, Great Benefits, Good Communication System. No waiting time to start benefits. Part-timers and full-timers get benefits. You'll also get a free phone once you join with the company. Phone usage is practically unlimited
Cons
Commission ups and downs, Management has been rather anal at times. The handset selection is limited for phone offerings however the plans beat much of the competition out there. The only other downside is the lack of smartphones available although that will change in time.
Advice to Senior Management
Review their mystery shop criteria. Many good people in the company are getting poor mystery shop scores but are star sales associates.
