Pros
PLENTIFUL BENEFITS AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Cons
EXTREMELY STRUCTURED ORGANIZATION THATS SOMETIMES TOO CUMBERSOME TO NAVIGATE WITHOUT THE AID OF A SUPPORTIVE MENTOR.
Pros
Salaries are competitive, If you can fit the mold of the Kraft employee then you will do well (just observe), It is a global organization and opportunities are present to experience it. Finally the company has realized it needs to be technologically competitive and has made a big investment in technology (SAP). Kraft has grown through acquisitions which means there is always something exciting to work on.
Cons
Too many frequent changes in the organization, Consumed with "Marketing" as opposed all functions which means being in Marketeers get all the attention. Consumed with cost cutting and the targets Wall Street has set for the company. Too much preoccupation with people losing their job. That does not allow employee to perform optimally legitimately want to do well for the company.
Advice to Senior Management
The most precious asset you have are your employees at all levels of the organization. Stop acting as if only the top tier matters.
Pros
There is tremendous opportunity for advancement since Kraft Foods promotes from within.
Cons
The work load is enormous and the work hours are extremely grueling particularly if an employee has a family.
Advice to Senior Management
Pay attention to the stress level of your employees. When they say they are extremely overworked and need assistance, pay attention and help to provide interim resources to help them.
Pros
I enjoy what I do, in assisting colleagues from others continents of the world. There's never a dull moment in what I do.
Cons
Sometimes, the managers micromanage. It is my hope that we as employees, will have some autonomy to take measured risks at times in what we are engaged in.
Advice to Senior Management
There needs to be more training for the managers for whom adminstration of people is not their primary background or training. Then they will make more effective managers.
Pros
Good enviroment
Friendly people
Nice offices
Cons
instability, frequent spin off, Management
Advice to Senior Management
Evaluations at the of project
Pros
People are passionate, high achievers, smart, and for the most part you enjoy their company. Lots of opportunity for career development and advancement for the right employees.
Cons
It is a large organization, thus, can be challenging at times to navigate through it and/or to see how your work fits in to the larger picture. With continual focus on finding efficiencies, at times the end result can be at the cost of the employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Make decisions with the right parties in the room and move forward. Identify key priorities and beware of how priorities can conflict and result in hindering rather than helping the business.
Pros
Kraft provides ccompetitive salary and benefits.
Cons
It could be a churn and burn organization. If you didn't progress up you were pushed out.
Pros
Good Location, flexible work week, ability to work from home as needed, good benefits, health club on premises.
Cons
No feeling of stability, timeliness on projects are too aggressive, expectationgs from consultants are less than from employees.
Advice to Senior Management
post all job openings on the Kraft site, so people can apply and not have to walk around asking about jobs.
Pros
Kraft Foods is truly a global organization.
Cons
Department seemed to be very much lean on number of staff.
Pros
You can work from home depending on your manager. Good pay to start. Good room for advancement or career change.
Cons
Low raises and bonus. Not enough manpower to complete the work. Long time span from idea to market. A lot of layoffs all the time.
Advice to Senior Management
You should listen to your employees and note that layoffs are not the only way for Kraft to make a profit.
