I worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – Good company to work for if you have the right support system. Many opportunities to advance and company will support cross-functional job opportunities.
Cons – Although there are many opportunities to advance one will have to move often in order to do so.

I worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – Friendly people that have good attitudes. This is a good place if you want work-life balance and time with family.
Cons – I can see how some people would grow frustrated if you want to advance or are ambitious, this is not the place where you can move up quickly.
Advice to Senior Management – The spinoff and reorganization has left a lot of people working on projects they don't want to be working on.

I have been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – great salary and benefits. Also, great opportunity to move up the ranks if that's what you're interested in doing.
Cons – Overworked employees who have too many responsibilites and short deadlines to meet
Advice to Senior Management – the workload needs to be decreased somehow because this is a major complaint for a lot of employees

I worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – Good company to work for. Good organizational structure and corporate culture. For the most part, really great people to work with and nice office. Also, great company to have on your resume because all of your future employers will have heard of Kraft Foods (or looks good if you're trying to get into an MBA program)
Cons – Some groups are better than others and it's hard to get a job in the "highly desirable" groups because if there is a job posting 20 people will apply for it. Quite a few hiring freezes lately with all of the restructuring so you may get stuck in your group longer than the rotational period of 18 months to 2 years
Advice to Senior Management – Stop with all of the restructuring

I have been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – Good people, ample training, internal and external advancement opportunities, decent compensation, frequent performance rating and feedback, decent work life balance, great brands, respect within industry, respect among consumers, quality / skilled co-workers, frequent assignment changes to keep people fresh and learning.
Cons – bureaucracy, slow to market, continual downsizing / not backfilling open positions, overanalysis is frequently and issue, lack of marketing spending on many brands, lots of "show and tell" decks and presentations that are nice and informative, but do little to drive results, resistance to change, growing desire to hire externally limits opportunities for internal candidates, true innovation can be derailed by overreliance on process.
Advice to Senior Management – No specific advice

I worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – Excellent training and excellent reputation. Great brands. You can go ANYWHERE after having worked in brand management at Kraft. The brand management function clearly drives the company. Also has very strong compensation packages compared to the rest of CPG industry.
Cons – VERY slow promotion process. You'll still be an associate while employees of similar tenure at other companies will rise through their ranks much quicker.
Heavy on process and bureaucracy, and decision-making is often made at a senior level, so you often don't feel like you really "own" your brand after all.
Advice to Senior Management – When you do lay-offs, choose the people who are truly bottom performers instead of just targeting boxes on the org chart. You've lost a lot of great people and have kept some really crappy ones.
