Current Employee – been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – Severence package, collaboration, social networking tooks, innovation, fun events, opportunities for growth, ability to move from job to job within the company, cafeteria, cleaners, company store, free fitness center, management open door policy, PTO (paid time off) instead of vacation vs. sick - you start out with more than anywhere else I know of, great coworkers who usually help each other, employees have great business knowldge, most people care and are deeply passionate about their work, some groups allow working from home 1-5 days per week, mobile workforce program, the internet is open - facebook, myspace, web mail sites are open for use, laptops are issued and can connect remotely with ease, flat screen tvs in some break rooms and for conference room listings, everyone is usually very friendly and welcoming, tuition reimbursement for properly accredited schools for classes related to your job, good 401 matching, many personal interest groups such as latino council, asian council, even gay/lesbian/bi/transgender group, benefits can include a same sex co-habitating life partner
Cons – The outsourced help desk is not the greatest but they are ge tting better and issues are being addresses little by little, too much work and not enough time to do it, some teams get many awards while other groups work just as hard or harder and do not get recognized, a lot of reorganization means few promotions unless someone changes roles
Advice to Senior Management – if we go out of our way to help you, our group, or the company, please recognize us. Some managers go out of their way to develop you and others do not so sometimes it is up to you to find opportunities that will develop you

Former Employee – worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – I have had more responsibility in my first 5 years (post-undergrad) than most anyone I know. A person who is results-oriented and displays strong leadership skills will have a successful career and the opportunity to work on highly visible projects.
Cons – Kraft is a very marketing-driven company. I worked in operations and that can be frustrating since many operation decisions were trumped by marketing.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on restoring product quality and identifying cost savings by eliminating inefficiencies across the value chain in order to achieve profitable growth!

Current Employee – been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – Many great brands with considerable marketing activity, smart people, variety of opportunities within company, good compensation, strong reputation within industry
Cons – Slow advancement for junior marketers, company culture is becoming more internally competitive and political and less collaborative, top down decision making
Advice to Senior Management – Empower brand managers to manage own brands, focus on development of new talent, more clearly communicate with individuals at all levels of organization

Former Employee – worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – Kraft's R&D (GTQ) offers excellent internships for undergrads that allow you to get real experience and take ownership for a critical research project. Very well organized program and great compensation.
Cons – Sometimes they force interns onto people who are really not interested in having an intern work for them. This can be especially frustrating and intimidating to young undergrads who are in their first professional experience.
Advice to Senior Management – More cross-talk between organizations could be particularly beneficial especially in helpfing interns connect and grow their business acumen. Otherwise great.

Former Employee – worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – great pay for general labor (starting at $12.35/hr), great in advancement with the company, employee discount on Kraft brand pizzas (Jack's Pizza, DiGorno, etc. $1 per pizza up to 12 a week when they sell between $5-$10 per pizza at the store)
Cons – 12 hour rotating shifts (work monday and tuesday, off wednesday and thursday, work friday, saturday, sunday. then opposite the next week),
Advice to Senior Management – for the time i was there, i'd have to say that there wasn't much to complain about. it was just the 12 hour schedules that kinda sucked because you don't really have a whole lot of time to do some of the things you would like to do with family and friends.

Former Employee – worked at Kraft Foods
Pros – 1.) Respected brand management training ground
2.) The marketplace still puts somewhat of a premium on being "trained" at Kraft
Cons – 1.) Very political
2.) Morale is low due to several years of average financial performance
3.) The culture is both stale and passive aggressive (the worst of government bureaucracy combined with the pressure of working for a publicly traded company)
Advice to Senior Management – Sell off the business units that you have no competitive advantage in.

Current Employee – been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – Kraft Foods have a lot of good things going for them. Nice work place, decent people, but if you work with union workers your life will be hell.
Cons – Big company, too many complications. A lot of plants have union works, much pain to work with. Some plants are old and need new stuff.
Advice to Senior Management – Management need to be around more often. Most of you guys are nice but some are a pain to deal with.

Current Employee – been working at Kraft Foods
Pros – You get to set your own schedule and work at your own pace. Your territory is yours to manage and you set the rules at the customer level. Great benefits and company car proves to be useful and you can take it anywhere.
Cons – Hours seem to be long and you continue to work once you get home. Job is practically 7 days a week as you must always call your help and tell them what to do and if there is a problem stores will call you no matter what time of day.
Advice to Senior Management – Get rid of the biscuit business and focus on the actual Kraft portfolio!
