I have been working at Kraft Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Most co-workers are great, pay is good, benefits are okay and there is a lot of OT(if that is your thing) and the jobs are quite easy.

    Cons

There is a lot of forced OT, family life means nothing. Training is a joke because you can sign off on a job and be training someone yourself the very next week. Training is done by several people so it is inconsistent. Frustration level is high due to scheduling procedures and not being sure when you will get a day off or have a day off pulled away from you. Facilitators and supervisors seem unaware or maybe unconcerned about worker behavior on the floor and feel that we should deal with/confront the people and correct the situation. This can lead to hostile interactions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more aware of what really happens on the floor and deal with it, stick to rules, be aware that there is favoritism. Remember that a happy employee with a healthy work/family life is a dedicated employee. An exhausted employee who hasn't had a day off in many weeks ... is a frustrated, apathetic employee.

I worked at Kraft Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Work independently at local level, generous PTO structure, Union structure has some flexibility. People factor is a plus throughout organization.

    Cons

Incorporating Best Practices across multiple plants is extremely tedious due in large part to unweildy corporate super structure. Compensation below average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more flexible so that change can be adopted in an effecient fashion.

I worked at Kraft Foods as an intern

    Pros

You could pick which departments to intern - it fits your interest.
    There were some nice mentors.
It is a reputable company, and you know it is meaningful work.

    Cons

Very busy so mentor might be talking to employees or co-workers.
They try to dish you the repetitive work that they dont want to do.
Makes you feel like they don't care much what you do when they actually do.

    I worked at Kraft Foods

    Pros

Kraft Foods rewards its employees well with compensation, 401K plan, and Medical Benefits.

    Cons

Recent company split into Kraft Foods Group / Mondelez has resulted in numerous managerial changes adversely affecting the knowledge and experience of management in comparison to what existed beforehand.

I worked at Kraft Foods part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Many other good spirited people to work with. People are professional and safe, but friendly and fun so the hours pass by quickly.

    Cons

Everyone is treated equally, but when it came to saving money, a lot of good people lost their jobs no matter how good they were at it. As a part timer I was one of the first to go.

I have been working at Kraft Foods full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The bells and whistles of a huge food manufacturing company. Pay range provides good growth within a role. The growth opportunity is unlimited to the employee as long as mobility is not an issue.

    Cons

In most facilities, prior experience is almost a necessity. Coming in the door to Kraft Foods, you must have your "A" game or it will be a short lived career. Hours can be long at times and stepping outside of your role is a must.

I worked at Kraft Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Decent entry level management salary

    Cons

Worked three-four weeks in a row. Suppose to be 8 hr days but often 9-10. Plant manager treated operators like crap often making them cry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company is now Mondeleze and the plant I worked at has new plant manager. Maybe things are better now.

I worked at Kraft Foods full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, work from home, decent pay, got to travel every year to cool places like Vegas for sales meetings, good benefits, company car. vacation time, etc. Workplace environment is nice,

    Cons

The company has changed completely over the last few years. There have been alot of layoffs. Tons of new items that were garbage. Used to be much better when I first came on board. They dont allow you to cross over different departments much. For example, if you are in sales... getting into marketing even with an advanced degree rarely will happen
