    Pros

Great pay, overtime if needed, excellent benefits, union plant.

    Cons

some forced overtime, future of the Chicago plant is uncertain at this time. Some plants have been shutting down since takeover of Mondelez International.

I have been working at Kraft North America full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Compensation was very good. One of the best Private Fleets to work for. Local management was very good. Very appreciative of the employees.

    Cons

Corporate culture above our regional managers was very unresponsive. Loaded down with acronyms and catch phrases that seem take the place of any real decisions and actions. The only company value at this point seems to be to cut head count.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop talking about being a company of makers and do or make something. All of these programs are only hindering the process. Upper management needs to either get real and learn about the business and people they manage. Or, shut it down and go home.

    Pros

Great benefits package. Good vacation schedule.

    Cons

Management did not support employees. More emphasis was put on product than ensuring employees were properly trained. Managers did not have an understanding of what employees jobs were and had little knowledge of how employees ccompleted maintenance. Never had a set schedule. Hours changed between shifts because the company could not maintain its workforce.

Work-life balance was cherished here. People had a great work attitude.

    Cons

Closing the Tarrytown office was a mistake. Most of the people did not relocate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should have left the Tarrytown office open. Now ou've lost all of those talented people.

  11.

Hard work for relatively low pay. For the type of work I was doing, I would have expected at least $15.00/hr or more.

I worked at Kraft North America part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Experience with a Fortune 50 company. You'll learn more of what other positions do and can use that knowledge when applying for other jobs.

Title may appear better on resumes to companies than just a 'merchandiser' at another location.

    Cons

It's not a put your time in position.

Pay sucks for the responsibility and work you have to do. Your treated as a worker bee with a fake acknowledgment of your actual output and significance to the company.

You have to obtain expensive car insurance and it's not worth the ware and tear on your car.
