I have been working at Kreischer Miller as an intern

    Pros

KM was a fantastic company to intern with. The workload was not too overwhelming and all of the employees were more than willing to provide help. Great pay for an internship. I was able to learn so much, in such a short period of time with the firm.

    Cons

The types of companies the firm deals with is a little limited. A lot of down time at points during the internship. Found myself with little work at times, even during busy season.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

One less intern would probably suffice.

I have been working at Kreischer Miller

    Pros

Kreischer Miller is a fantastic public accounting firm. In general, this firm hires competent, friendly, helpful people who care about balancing work and life obligations. The firm culture is definitely "work hard, play hard". Upper management really does a great job projecting firm values from the top to the bottom employees.

    Cons

Kreischer Miller could work on its in house training program, however this program was recently established, and seems to be improving each year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The majority are great, however there are a handful of managers and directors who may not always put themselves in the shoes of the staff below them.

I have been working at Kreischer Miller full-time

    Pros

The people are really nice. They are pretty flexible with schedules. If you are single, the benefits are pretty cheap. It's an easy place to coast-by if you don't want to put too much effort into the job, other than hours.

    Cons

Overworked, even beyond busy season, this isn't the big 4 but they work us like it is. Not enough staff. Managers are even preparing returns on a regular basis. It's next to impossible to learn anything since half the people working here don't know anything and don't care to learn. Those that do have a clue, usually don't stay very long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start acting like management. Do something to make the employees happy instead of just listening to us complain. Start weeding out the dead weight at the manager level.

I have been working at Kreischer Miller

    Pros

The training they provide is outstanding. They give you a week's worth of training when you first start and then they continue to provide training throughout the year through KMU.

    Cons

There are a few people that don't have the right attitude. These people see their jobs as just that - a job. They aren't as dedicated as the rest of us.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The best advice I can give to management is to try to get rid of the people that are not dedicated to the firm's success. They are bringing the rest of us down.
