    Pros

Unlimited amount of doughnuts, get the rush of helping customers and putting a smile on a child face.

    Cons

Some manager treat you like robots and take their employees for granted. Dealing with a lot of issues with the doughnut fryer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please treat your employees like they are your family instead of your slaves. We do a lot more than what people see. If you keep taking us for granted you will continue to constantly lose employees.

    Pros

flexible schedule. easy to get into a higher position if you are willing to do the work. great job if you are in school.

    Cons

there is no communication between management and employees. store was smaller than other stores (good/bad thing). not a lot of employees working during most shifts. hours of operation (monday-thursday 6am-12am) (friday - saturday 24 hours) (sunday store closes at 11am). people are picky about the days and hours that they want to work).

    Pros

At Krispy Kreme, hard work was recognized and rewarded, and leadership opportunities were available to those who had shown desire and the potential for growth. If you're young and just branching leadership, this is a good place to start.

    Cons

The senior leadership was often unavailable for advice, and coaching wasn't very robust. Hourly wages were higher than other companies in the industry, but the salary for managers was next to nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Protect your brand. Your franchisee's will make or break your overall image and perception of the company. Beware of these groups flooding the market- continue to keep your brand a commodity.

Former Employee - Assistant Manager in Winston-Salem, NC

    Pros

I started as a manager in training. I traveled to 2 different States. For a 6 months to train to be an assistant manager. It was fun learning different aspects of the job and traveling. The pay was out standing.

    Cons

Krispy Kreme locations do not train the same. I was trained more on making donuts then actual manager training. Once I became an assistant manager I was sent to University Store in Winston Salem. I had no life the Gm there ruined my career. He set me up to fail when I went to HR I was fired 3 Months later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Assistant manager Position needs More management training for 6 months. If u are wanting to hire a shift supervisor do that instead of placing an assistant manager at a store then treating them like a shift supervisor.
