I have been working at Krones Inc. full-time

    Pros

Great benefits for employees. A fairly friendly and laid-back place to work. Very stable job. Overtime opportunities. Good job for a CNC machine operator. Genuine concern for employee safety and welfare.

    Cons

Remote corporate control of company policies leads to dissatisfaction among shop employees. Not enough disciplinary action for employees who repeatedly make careless and stupid mistakes. Pay caps limit employee incentive. Long time employees are resistant to change and have no incentive to care. They won't be fired, disciplined or rewarded. Not much company incentive for individual employees to overachieve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow more local control over department hiring and paycaps. Before deciding to initiate new programs and policies start with the lower (hands on) management to find out the best way to navigate and reach the goal while being inclusive of employees.

    I worked at Krones Inc.

    Pros

Acceptable salary, good benefits, always new and interesting work to keep you occupied, travel extensively in the Western Hemisphere, Opportunities to advance.

    Cons

Krones is a very top-down company. All decisions and policy comes from the German home office. Few engineering or policy decisions are now made in the USA.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Establish a better vector of communication that will allow information and knowledge to come from the client/customer to the engineering department in Germany.
