    Pros

Great boss - always open to discussions on important issues. The work culture was conducive to growth and progress. It also helped that most of my colleagues and I became friends.

    Cons

Some of the uncertainty for some junior employees could have been handled better.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the employee engagement.

    Pros

Until recently, lots of freedom to direct projects and areas of responsibility and bring in new ideas and directions; colleagues are great

    Cons

Senior management changes too often for any consistent planning or strategic direction; very little communication or change management

    Advice to Management

    Dont make decisions based on headcount but rather content; treat employees more like people and not numbers;

    Pros

The feeling of always been supported in my work at Kuoni by the company, which has been unlike any experience I've had anywhere else. There's a real 'community-feeling' whereby it's like working with your family, not just your colleagues. Everyone genuinely cares about where they work.

    Cons

Feeling separated from other relevant but not immediate departments, meaning there can be a lack of information. This is very rare though.

    Advice to Management

Encourage greater company bonding as a whole, not just within departmental silos. Cross-department learning may be helpful to learn other peoples' skills and how that affects other areas of the business.

    Pros

Good benefits, good learning programs, good support when training, room for progression if given the opportunity, good location, recognition for hard work ( if you had a good manager),

    Cons

Not all managers have the adequate attitude / qualifications to be in those positions, there seemed to be some favouritism in certain departments, some corruption in HR department especially for those who have been working there for a long period of time, no decent incentives for staff to do better instead constantly told to "hang in there" when overworked due to shortage of staff due to company's "restructuring", no team spirit encouragement in some departments, and finally the canteen area is small and depressing.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your staff and make them feel valued. Review each departments to ensure workload is fair and realistic.

Current Employee - Assistant Accountant in London, England (UK)

I have been working at Kuoni Group full-time

    Pros

As company goes, I saw better as well worse, good benefits: life insurance, medical and travel. Also if you have kids some kids vouchers

    Cons

Like I said I saw worse, could do a lot with work progression, in accounts staff are not part of the company, we just push papers, the managers deal with their on team differently, so if you are lucky you get god bonus, perks etc, otherwise well you know the story. There is a bit of communication on a monthly basis, but people are not interested, despite the fact that we are on the FTSE bonus are really bad, not the same for the management that get some, independently from the performances of the group.Appraisals are held once a year but it's just to tick the box, no real impact or valuation.

    Advice to Management

Move from your golden chairs, interact with the staff, take notes and really start making some serious impact on the way the company is runned, will benefit from more perks and incentive.
