ProsPTo accrues 2 days per month and able to take half days.
People friendly to work with
good food in cafeteria

Consnot alot of positive reinforcement
too many people in positions they don't belong in just because they've been there a while
suggestions not taken seriously
pay is not good for what they demand of you- negotiate high at interview table

Advice to Senior ManagementPositive reinforcement and alot less criticism for the 1% worth of mistakes.
Fight for your employees, not your parking spaces
Its good to be king yes- but better to be good king

ProsSome employees were good at their tasks and a pleasure to work with. Nice HQ property and grounds. Company car for sales and upper management.

ConsLittle or no feedback from management on job performance. Senior managers seperated from other emploees and often displayed a "better than you" attitude. Comp levels were definitively not up to the competition. Office equipment specifications and color performance were poor.

Advice to Senior ManagementCome down out of your spacious second floor offices and get to know your people and the problems they face at work.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Pros- Really good work-life balance. Company values family and hours are not horrendous
- Job stability
- Good benefits, lots of holidays

Cons- Not really fast-paced or cutting-edge enough for rapid career growth
- Management not necessarily interested in change
- Can be hard to get promoted; growth opportunities seem to stall

Advice to Senior Management- Providea little bit more merit-based recognition, whether by creating opportunities for advancement, bonuses, vacation time, or more
- Value the feedback of employees

Proswork/life balance,
we had a good team, but most of the people left.
good opportunity to meet people from all over the world and learn some Japanise :))
very friendly people
benefits were good, although there were some problems with healthcare provider, but it always turned ok. (after being on the phone for an hour :))
but it was a minor problem actually.

Consbad communications between the management, slow time reaction. Nobody knows what's where, who is doing what.

Advice to Senior Managementbe more open and proactive with your employees, let people organize some activities inside the company, listen to workers, be more open on what is going on in Japan. Let more people telecommute. organize your own HR.

Prosgood products and pretty nice and good people. Staff is well qualifed in some areas. Other areas need more work

Conssome peple are not so nice and underqualifed. Why do I have to answers so many questions?

Advice to Senior ManagementUpgrade your skill sets and staff. But nothing I am going to say here will help them understand what they are not doing right.

Current Employee – been working at Kyocera Mita America full-time for more than 7 years

ProsEasy to get job with, they don't really support their sales reps, expect them to use their own salary to pay for technology to do their job.

ConsMany, no reimbursement to acquire technology of what they should provide to do business, no reimbursements for building business, they call their office technology centers and all they have are copiers with no workflow or software hooked up to them.

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit being so cheap and invest in your employees and the technology of your offices. Reimburse your employees for expenses they incur and provide them with the tools to do their job!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

ProsI found the company benefits were competitive. Personal Time Off (PTO) time accumulation is good. Support from the administrative personnel was always helpful (HR, Credit).

ConsNo consideration for the state of a territory when an employee is hired. Growth is not considered as acceptable performance, only selling above the quota assigned. Senior managemnet seemed to be "running scared" and their actions supported this theory.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet into the field and experience for yourselves what the new business environment looks like. It may help you create programs and incentives for achieving your numbers.
