I worked at Kyrene School District full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Working with kids everyday is not a problem. It all depends who your boss is but you mostly make the most of your job with the work you put into it
Cons – Upper Managements focus isn't on the kids as much as it is on the parents. I get that parents are the ones paying for the program but ultimately they will pay what they need to pay as long as the clients (kids) are having a good time. Upper management needs to worry about the parents and let the ones who deal with the kids daily do what they need to do to ensure the kids are having a safe and fun time
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Kyrene School District
Pros – Great technology resources. Good continuing education opportunities for teachers.
Cons – Too much emphasis on maintaining the 'Kyrene Image' of being the best district in AZ. Reality is sometimes ignored.
Advice to Senior Management – Stay focussed on what the real life is like in the trenches.

I have been working at Kyrene School District
Pros – Excellent Teachers, they are all top-notch educators...you can learn a lot working here. Lots of parent involvement as well.
Their use of career ladder is a great incentive for teachers to make more money.
Low class sizes (ratio for k-3 was 20 to 1)
Overall, decent pay for teachers...and, they like teachers to move around between buildings...good for building your career and reputation
Cons – Not many...you do need to work harder and be more involved than at other districts (with commitees)
Large district...hard to feel more than a number.
Advice to Senior Management – Involve teachers more when it comes to major decisions affecting the entire district (financially)
Create more financial incentives for teachers to advance academically in their field (offer stipends for classes)
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
