    I have been working at L-3 SSG-Tinsley full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great engineers, get to work on interesting systems

    Cons

    No employee development, salary and benefits not competitive with competing defense companies (unless you are in the "inner-circle", incompetent HR department, people in management positions who shouldn't be, only way to seemingly advance is threatening to leave, terrible "raises". They will keep you in the same position forever if you don't speak up or threaten to leave, and continue to shell out 3.0% raises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Re-evaluate people in management positions; some are great engineers who were put in these positions after years of service, but have no clue what it takes to lead people. Over-haul HR, they seem to have too much power and lack any sort of knowledge that you would want from an HR department (i.e. info about benefits). Turn-over rate is becoming exceedingly high because you refuse to develop employees.

    Pros

    Birthday celebrations
    Sorry I can't thing of anything else.

    Cons

    Lack of leadership and mentorship
    Finger pointing
    No management support
    Classic King-Pawn and Carrot-Stick approach
    No integrated system which results in the above!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need to replace managers that lack entrepreneural spirit and vision to take the company to the next level.
