    Pros

Great benefits. For the most part great environment & teams

    Cons

Leadership doesn't have a true understanding of workload. I've seen too many valuable & dedicated employees leave because promotions take too long

    Pros

Established company with lots of extended opportunities. 401K,Insurance,stock options

    Cons

Be careful that upper management is stable. They allow new DM s to clear all existing store management staff to accommodate new personalities arriving into a dm possition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure they are aware that they are in the loop with all new hires.

I worked at L Brands full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

training material and methods can be applied to other companies, I basically got an MBA for free, free travel size products when new products launch

    Cons

minimal hours during non holiday season- typically only 1 person in the store is full time, low hourly pay, no encouragement to train- be a self motivator- few hours for associates, poor work life balance for salary employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay your employees more so they stay instead of taking all of the training you provided to competitors, promote from within- provide adequate training to district management to ensure store managers are supported

I have been working at L Brands full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Amount of PTO given to core employees each year

    Cons

Management does what they want you to do, not what you want to do. For instance you may interview for one position, and then they'll put you into a completely different one and tell you that's what you had requested originally. Supervisors will say anything to get you to do the work, even if it's a straight out lie. Due to these issues, I have no faith and do not have any trust in management. I've seen one supervisor degrade women, by repeating what a woman will ask him back to her, repeatedly without giving a straight answer. Another one will tell an employee what to work on and how to do it, then will come by later and tell her she is doing it wrong, even though it's exactly the same way he had shown her.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Watch your supervisors. When respect is given to employees, you can expect respect back.

    Pros

The perks (benefits, company outings, discounts etc) are pretty great. Depending on the shift, you'll work with some great people too.

    Cons

You'd better be content with the title you were hired for, because unless your superior really likes you, you will not be moving up no matter how hard you work. The culture leaves a lot to be desired in other aspects too. Providing a tax break is worth more than hard work, and management is pulled from recent college graduates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Live up to the Limited Way, instead of just barely giving it lip service. Honor the standards set forth in reviews for everyone, and develop talent in those who put forth honest effort.

    Cons

Lots of frills and no head count or increases, if you're good your boss will never let you go or grow. Promotion of bad behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat assistants with dignity, have trust in your associates, make decisions collaboratively, stop being fearful and underhanded.

Former Employee - Material Handler- Picker/Packer in Reynoldsburg, OH

I worked at L Brands full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Working at L-Brands was the light of my life, do to the fact that I was successfully trained in several departments. I started at L-Brands through a staffing agency for the first 2 years with a total of more than 3.5 years at the company. I loved working with my coworkers, team leaders and supervision.

    Cons

No fault of L-Brands, but my only regrets were the fact of my falling ill for the reasons of bumping my abdominal area to cases of products while reaching in high ares of pallets. I already had an existing abdominal problem and it took me a while to realize that bumping into product cases was causing me to feel nauseated. The bright side to this dilemma was that I was moved to a previous department, at my request, which is where I wanted to be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My only concerns were being addressed as I was resigning do to personal reasons.
