I have been working at L'Oréal as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Maany professional and economic benefits, it has been a very good experience for me as a person and as an engineer.
L'Oréal pays for 50% of your transportation title, offers also free vans that transport you from your workplace to specific locations like Charles de Gaulle Etoile, the food is very good, you also get discounts for the café and the restaurant.
Arrival hours are not very strict and everyone, even if they stay working until veyr late, look very happy to work on what they do.

    Cons

It is not much of an engineering enterprise, main developments and career advancements can be made generally by people who work in marketing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make interns more involved in management and decissional opportunities, since a manager profile is required for not having so much management opportunities in certain cases.

I have been working at L'Oréal full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is a lot of opportunities to young people no matter you are gay, transsexual, different origins.
There is also a lot of movements between different brands and sometimes between divisions.

    Cons

Highly french environment, and not foreigner friendly. Limited growth opportunities for minorities nationalities.
Evaluation process is unclear and skewed, performance is very relationship based but not actual output based.

I have been working at L'Oréal as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Working with the best of the best in marketing, people from all over the world, the most creative and strategic minds working together for a common goal. The interns all have great relationships during and outside of work, if you're lucky you will have a mentor, and will learn a lot of lifelong lessons about business and the beauty industry.

    Cons

If you are not fluent in French you will get only half of the experience, everyone is very helpful, but you have to speak french if you want to work in Paris. HR did a poor job handling my exit, once our department had a hiring freeze, the interns were no longer cared for, most didnt even get a pot de part, which is standard for all interns leaving. They over promise you and then you are left disappointed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is mainly for HR don't over promise interns as a way to motivate them. Be real,

I worked at L'Oréal as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

I learned a lot. And mainly I learned to work under pressure for long hours, very competitive.
You'll get your figures right, you'll get your wordings right, you'll get your presentations right etc...
It was a great ''Marketing school''.

    Cons

Marketing people are squeezed like a lemons.
    Specific atmosphere, not for everybody.
