I have been working at L & L Connolly Management full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Connolly has been a great company to work for, compared to some of the larger employers out there. Infinite work at a breakneck pace, with lots of opportunities to learn the business and move around.

    Cons

The pros are mostly in the past!

With the iHealth merger and the PE takeover, the company is getting more coporatized. There are more silos, red-tapes, processes and less risk taking. The Connolly family had created an amazing culture of shared accountability and the perception that risk will be rewarded and encouraged. With so many new faces joining the company, the core values have been diluted.

This is obviously going to put brakes on the growth rate, and this place will not feel like the 'startup' you would be proud to work at.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The new CEO sounds very thoughtful and encouraging, so far! I hope he backs it up with action, and keeps investing in technology and people.

    I worked at L & L Connolly Management full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Free soda, greasy Thursday food

    Cons

Poor environment, poor work culture, this is a cult pretty much. Either you are in with the cult or you are an outcast. If you are an outcast, you're days are numbered. If you are part of the cult, be prepared to be phony and laugh at their zombie jokes, business jokes, multi-cultural I-don't-know-what-you-mean-by-that , and 1 or 2 old men their are really bitter at life in general

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just do away with yourself, merge with ihealth technologies just like big daddy ADVENT wants. Conolly actually lasted longer than what I thought it would.

I have been working at L & L Connolly Management full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company is growing really fast, esp the healthcare vertical. You are surrounded by intelligent, quick thinkers who are all independent and have an ability to execute without being siloed. The company promotes high performers fast and has been traditionally very careful in hiring people. They make sure that new hires, esp programmers fit the culture.

    Cons

Really bad benefits (no 401K match, poor health plan, no tuition reimbursement, almost non existent benefits. Base and bonus is what you get). The company recently got invested in by private equity and the future might go either ways.
Work from home discouraged, but recently been looked into.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to be equitable in terms of benefits, esp when it is now widely known within the company that one class of employees has much better benefits at the same designations, just because they have been assigned to a different legal entity. The speed of growth and hence opportunities for individuals are phenomenal, and should continue irrespective of who owns the company.

I have been working at L & L Connolly Management

    Pros

    - The job has a a lot of space to be creative, make it never boring
    - People are smart, professional and skilled, excellent to work with

    Cons

    - IT department tickets resolving time is not efficient, also the job title can make the issue resolving time be different
    - Need more flexibility to be able to telecommute

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Consider to invest on the empployee individualized technical skill training, rather than making once a year Data Summit. It took too much time and effort to perpare this data summit event with no direct revenue generation impact.
