    Job security
    If you reach Managerial level and survive, life is full of incentives

    Cons

    Crazy work hours... 12-14 hour work shifts for upto 6-7 days a week.
    Non-managerial candidates get paid very less.
    Managers do not listen to engineers.
    Non-technical staff is treated poorly.

    Pros

    Learning you get is immense. Fresher graduates and post-graduates are given special importance. Great place to grow. Though not the best paymaster in the market, L&T offers great opportunities to learn, grow and make your mark in the engineering field. No other company in the manufacturing sector has that aura and pride when it comes to L&T.

    Cons

    Working on-site can be a big stress, especially when working in new emerging units within L&T. Travel, Long Working hours, and Company norms to invest incrementally in Employee Benefits only when Business grows - all these factors add to a measure of Work-Life Imbalance.

    Employee Benefits policies need to be revamped. More initiatives to resolve employee grievances in an open forum should be taken up by top management. More funds need to be allocated to Engagement activities.
