The company is very small and is family owned and operated. They treat their employees fairly and respectfully.

    Cons

You are never in view of your direct supervisor (at client site) therefore the evaluations can be biased.
Health Insurance could be better cost/benefit wise
Government work environment and your are a contractor

I worked at LCE full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

-Company encourages education, training, professional development
-Safety conscious. Will purchase any all PPE and supplies needed for a job/project
-Managers are professional, respectful, and approachable. Upper management communicates with the workers and listens to it's employees.
-A family feel from the top management to your direct supervisor . CEO and President make it a habit of speaking to employees and letting them know what is going on in the company
-Employees feel like they are part of a team
-Company puts together company functions that allow employees to get to know each other and the management
-GREAT PAY! Bonuses! And Pay raises (based on performance not on nepotism)
    -Incredible medical/dental benefits
    -401k match
    -Employee Stock Options
-Most importantly employees are treated with respect

    Cons

    -Nothing

I worked there 10 years and I always felt like I had the best job in the world. But if I had to name one drawback it would be that the company has contracts that may or may not be renewed and that can add a little bit of uncertainty. But then again, no job is 100% guaranteed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thank you for the 10 great years. Keep up the great work.

Consider expanding to other sectors other than government contracts so that the company can retain employees when those contracts don't get renewed.

    Pros

Helping our Veterans. I am originally from Beaufort, SC, and the military is the backbone of the community. Being able to work a project that helps our Veteran spoke to my heart.

    Cons

The work pipeline needs to be diversified with government and commercial accounts to allow continuous work for all the employees.

I have been working at LCE full-time

    Pros

Great salaries and excellent benefits. Life Cycle Engineering covers its employee's cost of health, dental and vision insurance. Good work-life balance. An SC best place to work!

    Cons

It would be good to have more opportunities for training and personal growth outside of assigned project work. More outlets for employee engagement.

    Pros

Great family to work for. A lot of outstanding professionals worked at LCE. Culture focuses on taking care of people and customers.

    Cons

Executive management sometimes failed to take action on problems that were very obvious to most employees. I think that some of the executives were conflict averse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more decisive in taking the obvious actions that will drive the company forward.

I worked at LCE full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Voted best place to work in SC for 6 straight years. Offices in 7 different locales. Large diversity in the workforce, by that I mean they do a lot of different things for a lot of different company.

    Cons

A lot of jobs depend on Gov't contracts and unfortunately with the fragility of the governments budget right now, there is no guarantee that contract is going to last. However LCE will generally find you something else to work on till another position comes along

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work, but be careful about letting some of the good ones get away.
